[2.2 Theorycraft] Crit Facebreaker Assassin

the assassin class for reference


The Assassin provides us with three important nodes.

Ambush Insane crit chance and crit multi

Assassinate Destruction of anything on low life

Toxic Delivery 10% of phys damage as extra chaos.


This build is made possible by Rigwald's Curse amulet



I believe the top three contenders for this build are Ice Crash, Cyclone, and Infernal Blow

Core supports: Melee Phys - Faster Attacks - Blood Magic - Fortify

Jewel spots for 2 Pugilists

Since we have so much offense, we need to focus heavily on defense.

Enfeeble on blasphemy, Dodge/Block, Arctic Armour, Eva/Armour, Fortify, 4k+ life.

So not challenge league viable then. I honestly think they need to add that ammu to the general game.

It can still be done, it's just very difficult to obtain. GGG has stated that they'll choose leagues to be available from zana's map device, unfortunately talisman is not on the rotation for the coming league. Think of it more as a voll's devotion when talisman is in the normal rotation.

As for legacy meginord's, lightning coil, and facebreakers; their non-legacy variants will work but be strictly worse.

Key sentence in source is "maybe one day Talismans will return and people will have another chance at a best-in-slot amulet". Shows over folks, No Rigwald's Curse in ascension for the forseeable future.

I'm not convinced that trickster is any good for this build. It's easy enough to run cyclone on mana,and the other trickster nodes seem lackluster for the build.

Assassin would be a far better choice, and would allow you to cap crit, which I feel is far more important than some random evasion/dodge bonuses.

Agreed, it is still in theorycraft phase. I might as well just go assassin.
