Kripparian just said he will be playing some Ascendancy this coming Wednesday on stream.

I've yet to understand how people enjoy watching other people play a game. Boggles my mind.

People have been watching other people play shit since forever. It's called sports.
It will convert your forum titles into decorative square badges that use the space next to your forum posts more economically so that you can show off an unlimited number of them at any one time. - GGG, 2018 (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3573673)

Yes it does (well, not the concert part, but that's another matter).
Especially football.

I don't think you ever will, though how it's 'mind-boggling'...well...that people think that and use that expression so much sometimes...it boggles my mind. Perhaps people enjoy watching others because they get to see and interact with that person (to a degree) over an Internet medium because it gives them the opportunity to do so? Maybe they like said person's personality and how that personality comes out when they play the game? Maybe they watch how the person plays/theorycrafts ideas and because of the interaction they can bounce ideas off that person much faster and get a faster response rather than being more 'impersonal' with just slow text on a forum and waiting longer for a reply back?

Similar reasons as to why others may enjoy watching a stream of someone who speedruns games. They find enjoyment in watching how games of their childhood, or games that they play right now, can be so 'broken', things that can be manipulated/done that they didn't know were possible, etc, etc. They may enjoy the knowledge and explanations that the streamer gives when he/she explains how certain tricks are done. Or, in the case of heavy RNG games like the Pokemon series...sometimes people just like watching the RNG absolutely decimate the streamer's run, their ensuing rage from how screwed over they get, and...well...you get the idea...or maybe not, but at least it should be something you can digest.

So, guess what I am saying is...I've yet to understand how some find what other people enjoy to be something they can't seemingly understand because they don't want to use a little logic and use the old saying 'different strokes for different folks'. And I certainly haven't listed all the reasons why people might enjoy watching others play a game either. :p

As far as Kripparian streaming...could be fun and if I have time and what not, maybe I'll tune in and watch him for a bit. That is...with the twitch chat hidden of course...can't stand his chatroom, but it's to be expected.
Return of the Kripp is always fun.
Kripp so popular , why did he quit poe in the first place ? he was so great in games like this , innovative guy.
He basically only plays heartstone. Me i play heartstone to get the quests done and then i hurry out of the game to turn on poe , lol but thats me :)

Sometimes in live to be able to live, you can do a job you dont like.:S

I bet he wants to play, but poe unfortuanately isnt a twich attractive game,so his income is reduced.

Financial reasons.Money makes the world go round. If it aint flat:P
Bye bye desync!
Kripp said he can't be a "no_lifers" anymore. To people who don't know his twitch name nl_kripp the nl part means No Life.

Kripp started playing games for like 16 hours a day and his viewers liked him for that, and he has many world first achievements in World of Warcraft, Diablo 3 and have made some of the most overpowered broken builds in PoE (that's so briken that GGG nerfs them so quickly every time). He was teaching PoE mechanics before PoE had a wiki site, yea that's before poe.trade and all that bullshit.

Then one day he said he burned out and said he want to take a break from poe for a month or two started to play all kinds different games and just kinda never returned to PoE because he met his girlfriend and moved oversea for her... Kripp finally kinda settled on hearthstone where he said it's so casual and there's tons of fun for him... which his few thousand or so viewers became like 30,000+... so yea...

He had a long distance relationship and all that stuff with a real human girlfriend that most of you probably have never touched.

Even tho he doesn't play PoE anymore, he still helps promoting PoE for GGG for free at his own cost (He loses like 20k concurrent viewers every time he plays PoE). He's a cool guy really and people like to watch him get all salty and shit when rng rekts him and he gets totally owned lol.

He's one of the most popular hearthstone streamer with the shortest daily stream time (usually 5 to 6 hours). Also people like him because he rarely sellout and he could be making so much more than he makes rightnow but he simply doesn't care, and he will not play a game if he's not having fun, and he will sometimes trash talk his viewers when they pressure him into games he doesn't like.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.

I hope he records it and puts it in youtube. I cant stand streams cause i have to sit and wait until they talk about something I care about instead of trying to be funny/memey/broy.
