This was my first unique design, and I was hoping to make something that is very good for blood magic and clear mind builds, but is also still useful for more general purpose builds. For example, one of the things we talked about during the design of the ring was the possibility to run Wrath, Anger, Herald of Ice, and Herald of Thunder with no tree investment just by using these rings. That gives plenty of potential for buzzsaw builds and other things. I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with it!

I agree, desighn is fine.

Other uniques seems quite a trash, though.

What's better than carrying a shield? Carrying two shields! Advancing Fortress sacrifices raw damage in favour of strong defensive utility. It's not exactly a second shield, but it's as close as you can get.

The ring looks really balanced.
Compared to rare ring, it seems fair trading. Nowadays, we already sacrificed life and res for BiS uniques. If i took off my rings, i lost 270% total res and 80 flat life. Ring slots are worth tons. Those who think it's OP try to take off your rings and see what you lose. Similarly, mings heart also abanduned and people often called it a garbage.

The claw could be good alternative weapon for some spell caster build who want to have mobility by whirling blade and have high block chances.

The block jewel is great. Finally, another way to obtain spell blocks.However, downsides looks too much. Those unique item that gives you spell blocks are lacking many potential dps and survivality. By taking 5 of this jewels mean 50% additional chance to get crits. Do some math and can see with reduced crit dmg nodes from passive, you will take at least 50 more dmg from crit. And think about crit map mods.... It's death trap because you will block alot and one hit out of 4hits will crush you.

Gloves are cool.. I love the concept to have past league mods and require players to control for maximun potential of the gloves. I hope to see more this kind of unique.

Agree. I'm not updated on the meta concerning who would dual wield with a claw in off hand. But if the claw had "counts as using a shield" or "counts as using a shield as well as dual wielding" (if it wouldnt otherwise), then I think it would be much more likely to be used in a build or two for end game.

Then again, maybe the passives available for someone dual wielding while using a shield could be OP. It sure would be interesting at least.

As it is now, it seems mostly like a Searing Bond or RF totem item. If you don't use Dyadus with Arctic Breath totem, Lavianga's Wisdom and can't afford Doryani's Catalyst, why not use a second shield you can whirl with main hand? Doesn't seem like an item a build with a serious budget or hopes of good clear speed in end game maps would use though.

As for Reckless Defense: Mobs have a base crit multi of 130%.

With Belt of The Deceiver and Unyieling.

Normal mob: 130% -> 115%
tier: 68-73 30% increased -> 169% -> 134.5%
tier: 74-78 35% increased -> 175.5% -> 137.75%
tier: 79-82 40% increased -> 182% -> 141%
Deadly mob: 50% increased -> 185% -> 142.5%
Deadly mob in deadly map tier: 68-73: 80% increased -> 234% -> 167%
Deadly mob in deadly map tier: 74-78: 85% increased -> 240.5% -> 170.25%
Deadly mob in deadly map tier: 79-82: 90% increased -> 247% -> 173.5%

To me it seems more important to avoid deadly maps than not use this jewel, especially if you mitigate monsters critical strike multiplier.
