GGG, hates Marauders & melee? Juggernaut sucks, Berserker is retarded; now Chieftain is a totem
Well you can throw in the last class in the dumpster pile, what an absolute disgrace and joke the marauder is made to be in this game. Look all over reddit and comments on Marauder subclasses, disappoint and poor reviews everywhere.

'Berserker' is the worse of the worse: 5/6 keystones being conditional; IFs and when. The only keystone without a stupid condition to gain the keystone effect is an ordinary, nothing special 'increased damage' which isn't even OP, but with a downside attached? What other keystone in a sub class has a FREAKIN DOWNSIDE? Aside from the new Savage Hit thing, all the features are just vanilla crap that you can find on gear, gems or tree. Other sub classes have multiple, much more useful and cool unique enhancements, with no conditions. Even Juggernaut has a more useful keystone with the anti-slow for new labyrinth stuff. this is by design
melee is was and will be an afterthought. some mediocre counterattack gems and fortify that helped casters more than melee were the 'fixes' ggg knows their audience: people that want to feel good by effortlessly slaying wave after wave. current meta is that clicking on mobs is already too much! so you have it. melee == crit dagger (just look at the shadow subclasses. just look at them..). all other options are.. well.. judging by the ladder they simply arent as long as the clear speed difference for medium level of gear is as big as currently is there are no reasons to play melee except for the challenge challenge is fun but this game rewards and promotes other things. what is the ex:fun ratio nowadays |

5% life on a warcry with 100% cooldown will make my marauders immortal plus free up two flask slots for goodness knows what other OP fun I can think of.
Yeah the other perks look sucky at first glance. |

" immortal? so you think that these warcries wont have a cooldown? they have a 'cast time' (that isnt cast speed so cannot be improved) so it might get less %hp/s than a regen gives you. if you think about immortal call.. it is phys only. we will see. other perks - esp ones that activate on serious hit - are.. well.. risky? 'youll get some bonus if you get yourself almost-killed' other classes get such bonuses without conditions |

I'm pretty sure that if nothing about melee had ever been nerfed it would still be inferior to ranged.

Yea i was really shocked. That 100% increaed should have been 100% more attack damage if it was going to come with a downside to atleast put resolute technique back into relevance.
Seriously berserker is straight dumpster tier. Everyone of their nodes is situational or terrible. Let's just check ONE small things: Flasks... they add SO much huge benefits that its normal that you wanted them ALL the time, always, no matter what. And GGG just add that options to one of the strongest build ever: its Ranged. Now they can just auto press all flask every 1-2 seconds as they will refile fully faster then he can press. Yeah, why not make unlimited use for already strongest build... looks balanced to me. Now what we see marauder got: take more damage and you will leech it, so that fact that melee already took all damage, all time not enough. Now we should take even more damage and just die instantly. I'm always laughing at whiny thread like that:
I keep seeing people complaining about melee that suck. Then I team with my guildies and watch their melee build destroying everything. I saw people complaining about the nerf they made on the flame totem, then again I watch my guildies playing a flame totem build and destroying everything. I saw so many thread complaining about the nerf they did on the revenant that would hurt the summoner, yet again my summoner has never been so strong. I think they know what they are doing at GGG, not you. You should also consider being less rude in your feedback and appreciate the hardwork they do at GGG. P.S. I love the all the ascendancy class so far I'm going to buy one of the pack for sure before the release. |

Gotta admit, pathfinder looks pretty damn impressive compared to the berserker... 7link poison builds ? No need for staunching ? I dunno ...
@diablofdb: of course there are melee builds that destroy everything ... Especially with those big aoe "melee" hits ;) Thing is, ranged toons destroy everything even faster without putting themselves at risk most the time. |
