Is there a way to blacklist a person so they don't appear on search results?
here is the detailed guide on how to block somebody on POE.trade

You'll have better results using the forum on the xyz website.

Also, blacklisting by xyz goes against the spirit of the free trade model GGG has created and should be looked into and dealt with harshly by GGG.

It's his site and GGG likely accepts that so no and it's a good thing for the community if he black list dick heads and I've seen many dickheads in poe.trade doing shady shit lol

By GGG's standards, 'shady' is an acceptable play style. The standards of GGG need to be upheld by applications such as xyz. It's favouritism akin to P2W if they are not. All users of xyz need to be treated as equal.
You completely ignored that anyone can make an indexer. Xyz is used because people trust him. If your "fear" comes to light, people will stop trusting him and use other indexers.

And your example of people railroading somebody into getting blacklisted. What proof would they have? Screenshots of chat? Because if xyz has any sense at all, and I'm sure he does, he would require some proof.

I require proof of his sense before I trust him to make judgements on acceptable trade styles.

I see it as one (possible) loose cannon wielding ALL power over the economic future of each individual PoE buyer/seller. And also the economy itself!

(In all likelihood, you've earned yourself 'blacklist-immunity' with your posts, so well done indeed!)

So don't use poe.trade. It's your choice. That's the beauty of it. Use an indexer you trust. If there isn't one, that is not xyz's fault. Well, I guess it is somewhat because he's done a lot to help the community trade in this game and has earned the respect and trust of almost everybody but you.

If I earned any immunity, it'd be purely based on my trading reputation (ie, not trying to interfere with the free market like those who price things low with no intention of selling just to manipulate the market).

Fully agreed with grant_m because of shit like this.

Person was blacklisted for putting a 0c buyout and then removed after explaining how they run their shop. They shouldn't have been blacklisted to begin with. Just because you don't agree with how someone prices their items is no reason to keep them from being able to sell them.

That whole situation should have never happened.
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.
Exactly, C. Thank you!

I protest not for myself, but for my fellow economy bound Wraeclastians. I DO IT OUT OF LOVE! <3

Excellent example. And who knows how often this goes on behind the scenes? Does someone who ticks off one of his bros get the same treatment for less, or nothing at all?

People could be blacklisted and not even know they were. Or blacklisted for just long enough to have someone come in and snag the item before anyone else can see it listed.
Just a remark concerning the original post

Someone has for some reason posted 20 duplicate threads spamming their items and it's clogging up some of my searches.

Two days ago, all of a sudden I had one of my items listed twice. The second one was an exact duplicate. A few hours later, A third copy appeared. And the next day it was back to normal.
Grant_m, for somebody always touting how anything goes in this game, why are you taking up the position you are? Anybody can make an indexer. Just like anybody can try to fool the seller into thinking he listed an item for a lower buyout. If you don't like the way somebody does things, you don't have to do business with them.
