can this build kill atzari at the start of new leagues without the belly of the beast and saffels frame, i was looking for a build that could kill atzari on a low budget and this one looked really strong

What about ascendancy? Occultist i guess but I can't figure how to deal with Malediction... any guess for a noob? :D

I'm quite confused about the CODT/IC/MS setup, why is CODT levelled to 3 (up to lvl 42) but IC is left at lvl 1 (lvl34) and MS also left at lvl1. I understand the use of IC at lvl1, but why lvl CODT to 3 then, and what is the use of MS at lvl1?

Been running this for a couple weeks. I have wither +faster casting +spell totem- definitely the way to fly.
Now... about using the contagion + ED strategy... I find my mobs don't stay nicely contained, and I end up having to hunt down stragglers/rares and hit them again with ED. So... I have adopted a method Spell Echo and LMP to pound things in a bigger area directly (cuz my aim sucks!). Yeah, I know this nerfs the DPS/projectile. But they automatically get hit twice... and is more effective than the spread w/ contagion. Comments? Suggestions? I like fast, pointy daggers AND CHAOS DAMAGE... not necessarily in that order.

Soul siphon (5 mana gained on kill) is pretty easy way to sustain mana early on without clarity. It pretty much fulfill your whole manapool instantly after killing a pack of monsters.

Couple of questions:
1) Is Acrobatics really that helpful? I was planning to do something similar except I was going to spend the points on ES. That's 9 passives to get over to Acro, and you can hit 2-3 ES groups for that same amount. I also dropped hex master which is another 4 pts for ES or life or skill effect. My main reason for doing this is because for the Ascendancy, I was planning to go with Occultist: Void Beacon (chaos res), Wicked Ward (+ES and ES shld not interrupted by dmg if recharge began recently) Vile Bastion (ES regen for each kill) -- not to mention the %ES/ES regen rate increases on the nodes in between. Without good gear or flasks, it seems to me you'll get one shot quite often. 2) Also, I was planning to run: AA, Discipline, and Clarity instead of blasphemy, temp chains, vuln. AA gives you even more phy dmg reduction, discipline helps your ES (which is speced into the tree + Ascendancy pts), and clarity for mana regen.
