Rings and amulets relative drop rate

Hi all!

I was wondering if people feel like the relative drop frequency of rings and amulets has changed recently?

The reason I'm asking is that, for the first time, my chaos recipe tab is almost completely full of rings, which didn't happen in the other leagues. It used to be fairly balanced between amulets and pairs of rings, at least for me.

Naturally, what I see now or what I saw before could very well just be a random large deviation.

I need more data. Give me data!

Thanks.

Mines full of amulets. Go figure. I've got over 20 amulets waiting on pairs of rings.

It's random. You'll see patterns in randomness. That's how the mind makes sense of reality. I've had short stints where belts were actually the limiting factor.

Yeah, I know, that's why I'm asking. So you're the Jackson to my Willis ^^

Is it in Torment? If so, I see a solution to our predicament.

In Talisman League I have definitely noticed fewer ring and amulet drops. I have no hard data but from playing a build into maps my stash has fewer rings and amulets for time played than ever before. GGG probably nerfed their drop rates a little and just didn't think it important to inform us. With talismans available as an amulet substitute the lower drop rate isn't that critical but it does drastically affect my Chaos recipe badly.

This is just another in a long line of starvation changes GGG routinely makes.

Some will counter with "we get 4x divi-card drop rates now so GGG doesn't nerf everything." True but with more divi-cards being added over time that dilutes my chances of getting full sets of any specific card (unless I want to mind numbingly farm a specific zone for months and months) so that drop rate increase just barely registers as an increase in quantity.

PoE = Path of Exta-starvation. I guess GGG feels starving us goes hand in hand with "hardcore". Many a good players have been starves right out of PoE completely.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

TBH i don't really play enough to make a reliable comment on this, RNG and all, but atm the amulets are dropping at a rate of 1 per every 4 or 5 rings( at least for rates) but since i only play 2 or 3 hours per day max this isn't exactly accurate.

@Arrowneous:

Nah, I have way more rings than before. Just fewer amulets.

The whole point of this thread is to avoid jumping to conclusions like many people do. Your own experience is practically useless for estimating drop rates.

It only takes one person with more amulets than rings to restore the balance. No ninja nerf this time.

It was oposite for me. Full tab of stuff waiting for amulets and rings. I thought that drop rate of amulets was nerfed because of talismans. But I geuss its just RNGesus.

Still, comment appreciated! Every bit of data counts. And I doubt there are that many people who play more than 3 hours a day.

I don't trade under any circumstance.
ive not been having good luck finding rings or amulets I can put together about 6-8 full sets of gear before I find the rings and amulets to complete the recipe.

Perhaps I need to make a sacrifice to RNGesus....
I dont see any any key!
