The central part of this build is The Covenant which grants Blood Magic.

I personally would not use this unique.

You can get more ES on another piece.

Instead use the blood magic support gem for your auras and run the rest off mana......... it will be so much easier cause you cant use LOH for your life regen.
Point. I forgot that that LGoH doesn't work on spells..
Id do my build like this:

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUBAv4EBwVbB2MMfQ5ID8QQfxEvEVARlhVQFr8XVBfYGmwdFB8CIoEnqSlPLR82xTrYO3w74ULDQ2NG10yzTdhXK1j1WqZdxl3yXvpgbWZPZp5tGXBScNVxTXNTe9d9U35Zf8aBSYFvgh6Cm4fbiEKLeouMjDaMdo48jmSPRo_6mZqaz52jna6dxJ48nqGio6cIpyuvm7I4tQS2hrb3tzG4k7jKu9bAUcHzw23GntA52CTa3dzH3fPfhOFz4vfjhOQi5oHpc-tj7BjsOO0g8XbyHfPq96b3wfrS_Ks=

Id run:

determination, purity, reduced mana, blood magic. Level reduced mana so that it cuts mana cost to around 82%.

Run clarity, discipline and grace off your mana with a fully leveled reduced mana.

Get some mana regen items.

Run your spells off your mana. The only worthwhile combo on freezing pulse is

Pulse, life leach, faster projectiles, GMP(or LMP), Faster casting.

Use ice spear for your single target and couple it with faster casting, increased critical chance, increased crit damage.

Get 75% chaos resists.

Then the build works better

edit: got mixed up between goast reaver and zealots oath. improved a couple of things.

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUBAv4EBwVbB2MMfQ5ID8QQfxEvEVARlhVQFr8XVBfYGmwfAiKBJ6kpTy0fNsU62Dt8O-FCw0NjRtdHBkyzTUFN2FcrWPVaa1qmXcZd8l76X2pgbWaebRlwUnDVcU1zU3vXfVN-WX_GgW-CHoKbh9uIQot6i4yMNox2jjyOZI_6mZqaz52jna6dxJ48nqGio6cIpyuvm7UEtoa297b6tzG4k7jKu9a8ecBRwFTB88Ntxp7QOdgk2t3b59zH3fPfhOFz4vfjhOQi5oHrY-wY7DjtIPF28h3z6vem_Ks=

also forgot about the blood magic multiplier so you'll only be able to run one 40% aura off your life.

This will mean you will need mana on your gear as you'll need a lot of mana to run 4 auras off it and still have enough for your skills

edit: you'd also have to consider the effect of righteous fire. If you life is say 500, it will do 100 ES damage per second with only 80% resists.

Encorperating elemental adaption into the above build will help. As will your shield to give 90% resists.

Thats 50 ES per second. Which wouldnt be a nightmare but still wouldnt be pleasent.

Ghoast reavering and getting gear with life regen might be your best option here...

As a result sacrifices have to be made - id go with crit multiplier. see below:

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUBAv4EBwVbB2MMfQ5IEH8RLxFQEZYVUBa_F1QX2BpsHwIigSSLJ6kn7SlPLR82xTrYO-E9D0LDQ2NG10cGTLNNQU3YVytY9VprXcZd8l76X2pgbWaebRlwUnDVcU1zU3vXfLt-WX_GgW-CHoKbh9uIQot6i4yMNox2jjyOZI_6mZqaz52jna6dxJ48nqGio6cIpyuvm7UEtoa297b6tzG4k7vWvHnAUcBUwfPDbcT2xp7QOdgk2t3b593z34Thc-L344TkIuaB62PsGOw47SDxdvId893z6vem98H60vyr

If i had the resources and time to put in id have a go at this myself.

You're gonna want on every piece of gear you can get.

Life regen per second
Mana
Chaos Resists

edit: and drop the rine gaze and the cloak...

Actually i changed my mind on the tree again, i think you'll benefit more from evasion than armour. Your flasks should be

2 x suregeons granite of iron skin, pop run in and blast.
1 x surgeons granite of warding, get rid of the curses
1 x surgeons quicksilver of dodging (or whatever) for the evasion boost.
1 x surgeons quicksilver of heat to dispel frozen

Quicksilver in with your evasion, pop a granite of irons skin (which will recieve a boost of 28% from the tree = like 5k and a 60-70% from determination applied after = something like 8k armour. Maybe get a belt with armour on it too and an ammy with % armour.

Your evasion will prob be quite nice like 2.5k base + like 200% from tree % flask = 7.5k.

All your gear should be ES gear.

Lots of ES, 7.5k Evasion, 8K armour should be suitable defence.

The build works but its very hard to make happen

Edit: final tree following my above theory crafting:

Interesting idea, but chaos damage is now a very real concern for any build. Nevermind hitting 75% chaos resist, which I think will be extremely difficult at best. But even there, I can't imagine you having much life, leaving you with very small margins.

Probably something you'd have to play extremely defensively in any area with any chaos damage source.
IGN : Jovial
If you can deal with 20% Higher life, I am throwing the suggestion of ditching the Blood Magic armor and just using Blood Magic support gems to cut your life and having your attacks run off Mana. It would allow you to roll Chaos Resist on your main armor as well.
I appreciate the suggestion of doing away with The Covenant, but I'd really really like to keep it. It's the main idea behind the build.

If I used a BM gem to power up the auras, yes, it would likely work, but it wouldn't be original. I want to keep the Covenant because it gives me a fully mana efficient BM, so I can stack three auras before I get into low HP territory.

yeah i mean if cool is part of the build, starting shadow is also quite important...

a templar vampire? ....... no.

But i was running over my variation above last night and decided that to make this work so that you didnt get 1 shotted by chaos mobs youd actually need like 75% chaos resists and around 800 life AFTER reservation.

So youd perhaps need something in the region of 3k life.

But this would then have profund consequences on righteous fire of course.

I actually dreamt last night that I was explaining this build to chris and asked if there could be an aura or something that adds 15% to max chaos resists and like 50% to chaos resists for like 60% reserved mana.

3k life, 6k ES and all the other stuff you need + your chaos resists problems etc.....

I wish you good luck

Well arnt Vampires in some lores suppose to obtain super human strengths, if so why not use a physical Damage gem, for example lets say bear trap, and use add fire to the mix, the physical will work with the life steal while holding a under lining special power such as fire ability gems to sprous up your unique build.
I cannot support the Direction of this game anymore due to the fact the PC verson of the game will be compromised due to the limitation of the console verson, which explains alot of the current state of the game.
