Deadly Infusion should be halved or something

I share the concerns, I dont think Ive considered if and what changes are or are not sensible, but I certainly look at that tree with raised eyebrows and sweaty palms.



honestly, heres a change I think the game needs, slightly off topic. Mark ggg has gone through how the affix system works and it seems that they cant change values, but they can, at will, change both the wording of affixes and their mechanics across all existing items, just not the numerical value. So...

'increased critical strike multiplier' should be changed to 'additional critical strike multiplier', across all instances of crit multi in the game. So 100% multi no longer actually provides an additional 150% crit multi, it just straight up gives you 100% additive with ur base 150%. Its not a massive shift, but if you think about the way that slightly calms crit dps, I think it would be very healthy. Ive been meaning to suggest it for a while, I may get around to making a topic i dunno.

Given that we have already seen threads crying about perma fortify and duelist spell block, I am not surprised that the Assassin crying thread has shown up.

I do not think the permanent Fortify is OP at all. I feel the spell block thing might be slightly overtuned, but not by enough to really get hot and bothered about it; 80% of block chance applied to spells wouldn't bother me at all, so 100% only gets a slight eyebrow raise from me.

There was already a thread about the Inquisitor penetration node being OP, you must have missed it. I don't agree with that one, either. So, really, on most of these Ascendancy doomsaying threads, I'm more on I_NO's side than the nerf police.

I feel Deadly Infusion is seriously different, and would lead to a dangerously Assassin-heavy metagame. That's my prediction and fear. I don't believe it's an unreasonable one.

@Scrotie: LOL. Most builds that are crit heavy are ALREADY crit-capped at 90%+ crit chance. And really man you worried about 50% inc. crit multiplier? 50%? We talking about 50% inc. crit multiplier?? Similar to what you can get on a crit amy?

ill say the same thing to you the same thing that other guy told me when i was saying the assassin class gives me very little benefits since i have already have a near crit cap

you change your build, focus on more damage or survivability and still get that crit cap

We have no idea what they're going to do do base crit chance of spells and items or any other parts of the game. It's very premature to be worried about this.
