why is flamedash so horrible compared to whirling blades?

I really do hate its just go dagger as caster or GTFO and its completely because of WB. As for fortify I don't really see an issue with people using it with spell casters because they are technically hitting a mob with a melee attack, aka melee range to get the benefit, but in terms of movement skills its literally the best in the game (for speed) and because the meta is go fast its pretty much required if you want to play with anyone else that wants to "go fast"

Its risky IMO to nerf WB so that spell casters don't want to use it because the quick moving reave\viperstrike\whatever have you dex based attack shadow will suffer most likely from such nerfs.

I think flame dash needs to have its charges increased or allow unlimited IDC its basically the same thing, but creates burning ground, which isn't at all what movement skills are really used for. (in before someone links flame dash totem build)

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Well its the same thing but allows you to leap over gaps, remove that from it and allow it to be spammed infinitely.

They nerfed the range of the gap closing it can do. At this point I would hate to have flame dash and lightning warp because we all know you gotta have the ability to go up\down ledges and all that stuff.

Whirling blades is still stupid fast AND still gives fortify buff so why not let FD work similar for casters, instead of allowing it to give you fortify it allows you to cross terrain.

oh i completely agree everything seems weak in comparison to whirling blades, its funny they nerfed the one significant advantage it had.

I think whirling blades is weak compared to lightning warp. Lightning warp you can apply shock with and double and triple curse a huge AOE with and jump over chasms. All via a movement skill. I've been doing it since 1.1 with my supernova build. Whirl blades is #2 as far as I'm concerned although obviously best in things like Cyclone CoC. Leap slam #3 because of it pathetic range or it would be #2. Flamedash is so pathetic I hate to put as #4 because walking is better but walking doesnt count I guess.

I'd love to see Flamedash at high levels get more charges, and reduce cooldown for charge recovery.

Then a unique item could grant a lvl 30 flamedash of awesomeness.
