How would a Varunastra work instead of a rare axe?
I need a new build already and I'm super torn between flicker and this one.

Varunastra has low base attack speed, that's why rare axe works better.

So, do i get this right? I need voidheart to cause bleeding right? So it´s all about the "% can cause bleeding"? So with me currently running Soul Taker along with Jack the Axe (Causes bleeding on hit) i should be ok without a voidheart, in terms of causing mobs to bleed?

right. right. right. right. right :)
Jack should be placed in main hand

Hey triwesterki!
What do you think about use inc aoe instead add fired while mapping/leveling? and cleave a good alternative(+radius) is?
Thanks!
@triwesterki

Thank you very much. Will try out switching Soul Taker with Jack the Axe. Was wondering if i had it in my false Hand ;)

Nevertheless. This is one of the best maintained Buildguides i´ve seen so far. And one of the best Melee Builds i´ve played since 2.0 :)
I love the tankiness while dishing out damage like a glasscannon. ATM im running Tier 6/7 Maps without ANY problems. Only died due to Lag and/or stupidness (Like the time i checked my inventory and stood right in a patch of desecrated Ground :D)

Will absolutely start this Build over completely when 3.0 will be released ´cause I want to experience it grow to its full power from the beginning.

Take my applause for this Build and keep up the fantastic work!
Hey guy's I'm interested in switching to this build after using a cleave dw axe duelist as my league start. The things I'm unsatisfied with is my damage scaling seems too low for super endgame content (uber atziri/shaper). I see that this build is capable, but the gear posted has a pretty insane mirrored axe. Is it realistic that with within 2-4 ex upgrades from my current gear (orochiesenpie on my account) that I could tackle some of these harder challenges?

I like leap slam for mobility, life builds are all i've ever played in my 400 hours of game time, and I love melee builds. I'm wondering if anyone with more average gear has done these end game bosses with out a decent success rate.

Thanks for the constant updates. Ill be checking the whole thread out when I get more time.
Hows Bloodrage support gem synergize with this build in your opinion?

I'm trying it to replace hatred since I don't have soul taker for now. The damage boost from it feels good enough, while killing enemies keep up the duration of the buff with minor life lost each use but easily mitigated by high leeching.

EDIT:
Wow, ok... this gem better off for high life regen build only. Not recommended with Vaal Pact, since the life regen has no effect. The gem is good for waves and jumping from mob to mob. But when there are no mob around to leech, it ate through my life until duration runs out.

I'm putting this off since I took Vaal Pact.

Hey!
cleave is ok alternative. especially on very low levels while you're running with 3link. in mid-high levels cleave damage is less. melee splash 20/20 +herald of ash AoE seems enough. i did not feel lack of aoe. also inc aoe/ conc effect gems require high intelligence. it can be a problem.

Hey.
2-4 ex upgrades are not enough for shaper.
main axe is a main source of damage. every dual striker with 2-3ex worth axe killed t16 bosses, no one killed shaper. if you want to try you need best axe in league, 400-450 pdpds. i hope it's possible with sin's rebirth flask and might and influence jewel.

blood rage adds some fun to playstyle. but usually i don't need this buff against white or blue monsters, all die fast. and it becomes almost useless in long 1vs1 facetanking scenarios.
