Blade Vortex needs a buff

Probably duration. I'm probably minority here but in real world farming situations like picking stuff up instead of charging your vortex for decent DPS which you cant do both at same time it's awfully slow compared to most skills I used. I have every duration node on tree and inc duration gem. DPS is pathetic in regular farming where you maintain 25-35 blade compare to any skill I used. Boss killer good no doubt about it where you can charge to 50 blade without moving which stops casting but otherwise ho hom

Scotty you can put Bladefall in any of my Vortex build (or anyone elses) and clear maps twice as fast even sub-optimal as that is. At the end of the day it's bodies on the floor/hr that matters and blade vortex does not deliver pathetic AOE pathetic duration make it's realist DPS in the field somewhat wanting.

BTW please change name to Vortex Blades too. Rolls off the tongue easier

you most be the first person saying blade vortex needs a buff (instead of nerf)

Thats was an overstatement based on low maps with low HP mobs. I'll change that.

If it sounds better that probably because you are a non english person ;)

Like in french we would say a vortex of blades but in english they always inverse adjective and noun , that is the way it is ;)


Switched to dual firestorm totem. I was dying a lot in act 4 cruel. Its good against bosses and the clear speed is good but as a spell caster I had trouble getting my defense good enough to facetank all the content.

With dual firestorm totem I lost the above average clear speed, but gained a relaxing smooth easy ride. And its still great against bosses. It takes a few seconds to come up to speed, but after that the DPS is better than Blade Vortex.
I can vouch for some of the complaints made here...

There's definitely a bit of awkwardness with needing to charge up 10+ charges and maintain them. Bladefall is absolutely better since it basically skips the awkwardness, feels much better and on top of that is a ranged skill. Even this ghetto 4-link EK setup I have with Roth's Reach and Rigwald's Quills equipped feels more fun than Blade Vortex.

Oh yeah, another issue with Blade Vortex: Inta-rip to thorns. Not sure how other high hit rate skills deal with this but this is pretty hard to ignore for HC.

My opinion, reduce damage, increase AoE because FUCK going near enemies with evasion/ES, increase duration so that Spell Echo and Faster Casting aren't such no-brainer supports.
