On a different topic it's fun to see people on the streets take interest in politics for the first time in their lives. You think they might have back during Bush v Gore, or when Obama won the Dem nomination over Hillary despite her winning the popular vote, or perhaps when Bernie got jobbed. I wonder how many of them didn't even leave their houses to vote on Tuesday.

Which is why it's not going to be taken seriously by the electors. It's also extremely rare that electors go against the will of the people. And it's never been enough to turn an election the other way. Hillary would need to flip around 30+ electors and there is zero chance of that happening. Anyone who thinks there is an iota of a possibility of that happening is just prepping themselves for a salt QQ quake aftershock come December 19th. And I'll be surfing the tsunami of tears all over again.

Trump will get 307 Electoral votes (counting the Washington state firebrand).

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ... I didn't catch the representative's name, but on the radio Friday, he was saying that billions (iirc) had already been allocated and approved in the federal budget for the wall - they just haven't been allocated yet. According to the member of Congress, it was Janet Reno that put the kibosh on building the wall. If the story is true, then on day one Trump could break ground if he wanted to, since the funding is already there.

Then again, if Mexico has to choose between taking more big hits on their economy, it may be cheaper for them to just pay for the wall after all - just like Trump said.
