Trump needs to appoint Sheriff Joe Arpaio as head of the border patrol. Then I can wait on the deluge of tears flowing. I'm expecting to see a few such controversial appointments.

fox news seems to think it is going to be all fox news contributors, it would make sense in a way, all reality tv cast for the reality tv presidency. I don't think Hannity makes for a very good video hoe though.

" the american political machine does have a way of normalising everything tbh. Its like its got a compressor on the signal coming out of any individual, any unusual spikes just get chopped down to fit into the regular expected range of possibility. Thats partly why I found it in myself to laugh and actually be happy when I saw Trump got elected, even though it was probably a sign of the apocalypse. He cant actually do anything too radical, theres too much machinery between him and anything happening that he couldnt be too unusual even if he wanted to. In order to get anything done you have to play the game. Im not suggesting theres a particular group of people in total control that wont let him, its just an emergent property of the systems. At least Trumps election was a shot across the bow to the establishment and leaves the possibility open that some unconventional stuff might happen, those things are positives imo. But ultimately this man is a millionaire despite making a lot of bad calls along the way and being a totally unlikable shit. This system put him there, made it possible for him to be everything that he is, I get the feeling hes not going to want to change it too much. Trump said we should see results in a year. So when 2018 rolls around, if he fails, we'll see on midterms.

I suspect that there are a lot of people being considered, but who won't be discussed until they have confirmed they are willing to do it. There is likely some reticence and concern that serving in Trump's cabinet could be a one way ticket (politically speaking) for people if his presidency doesn't succeed. As for his mannerisms - he is getting front loaded with all the concerns facing the US. The grey hairs should be popping up all over the place anytime soon. Its one hell of a responsibility, and the weight and awareness of it settling on his shoulders is tremendous. What he says and does now, is not about defeating Hillary, or any political opponent. It is now about solving very real problems - some of which have not been solved before. Were there any cabinet members you were expecting or hoping to see?
