I got some questions about the "state winning" votes...

Okay let's say we got Red vs Blue in wonderland with 5 states (ABCDE).
Red vs Blue votes are in:

A) 9000:500
B) 400:600
C) 300:700
D) 200:400
E) 100:300

Red had a landslide win in A, but Blue won the remaining 4 states.

Years later before the next election,
Red voters have moved out of A into different states,
and the new election votes look like this:
(-4000 from A, +1000 into every other state).

A) 5000:500
B) 1400:600
C) 1300:700
D) 1200:400
E) 1100:300

So Red wins every state. Is this how it goes? Is it really this stupid?

I know it's not this simple, and you probably can only vote in a state which you are registered in,
but theoretically you could move the surplus of voters into a state where their vote would make a change?

It tends to work the other way around. A red state with a lower population per square mile attracts more people and the increase in population generally shifts the state towards the blue.

Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada used to be consistently red states, for example.

What's even more bizarre - and along the lines of what you were asking about is "Vote Swapping" - which in certain states *seems* to be legal, and allows people to exchange those excess votes.

The information I saw on that could be inaccurate.

If Trump wins (and it's ~50/50 at this second) short sighted ignorance will have a short victory followed by all of us being completely fucked in the long run. Reminiscent of Brexit.

Although there is no legal duty, the job of those whose candidate doesn't win the election is to try and keep the one that did win in line. No matter who wins the final count, the opposition to them will force the new president to make better decisions, if they want to have any effectiveness.

Obama's major blunder was thinking that he didn't have to work with the other side. Reagan and Bill Clinton's biggest successes came from understanding that moving forward is more important than moving in a straight line.

I bet she contests Florida. I don't guarantee anything; just a bet.

That was half the point of "the election is rigged."

With all the backlash, and the way the media laughed at Trump as a trouble instigator for even suggesting it, it will be very difficult for them to convince the public to go down that route.

Man, the internet is gonna be an absolute troll's paradise for MONTHS if Trump wins. I got a GIGABYTE of Trump memes, locked, cocked and ready to go. Huffington Post, here we go. I'm hyped! It's gonna be complete pandemonium!

On a serious note - I would hold back on that. The people who disagree with Trump aren't the enemy. Most of them have just been misinformed for far too long. Most really have a lot of empathy for other people, and want to see the government help out wherever it can.

Wanting to help others is a noble thing. If indeed, Trump is the winner, his job is not to leave people out in the cold, but to find a more efficient way for the government to do what it can to help. It may involve more coordination between the government and private charities. It will likely involve a big F--k Y-u! to the people who don't want to see the government working with religious groups to promote charity.

There's no reason at all the freedom from religion groups can't get their feces together and focus on charities either.

We are not each other's enemies. We are all in the same boat, and now is the time to take a deep breath and realize we have a lot of hard work in front of us. There will be some missteps along the way. We'll stumble and get back up again, if we are determined that we're all going to get there.
