The bolded one is pretty revealing of how Democrats think. They decide for the blacks that they are making a mistake. So the two sentences before the bolded one are projection.

It still happens, though it isn't as open and blatant as before. Some of it has lessened, and
sadly - some of the racism is from people directed at their own race. Its frustrating when you are mentoring someone and trying to get them ready for a promotion, and the person hesitating on offering the new job is being racist against his own race.

I can't go into details, but he's very open about it to the person I've been mentoring and the party affected has to file a complaint for it to go anywhere.

The effect of racism is far greater for some subjected to it than others, and historically speaking, certain groups have been far more victimized and threatened by racism. So, if you want to say racism against minority groups is worse than racism against the majority group, I'd have no disagreement with that. Certain groups have protected legal status in discrimination law because they have so frequently been subject to unfair treatment.

In any case, I'm glad you are exercising your vote and hope your state passes the election reform you mentioned. If we had such a thing nationally, we wouldn't be in this predicament of having to vote for someone we don't like.

It's not racist if they think they know what you need better than you know what you need, regardless of your skin color. And I'm pretty sure they do.

I think the big problem this forum has is being politically correct. I've been challenged by so many people and I don't frankly have time for total political correctness.
