Being right about things is a semi-important quality in someone who is making decisions for 300 million people, and that may potentially affect billions.

Being wrong and not giving a crap - Hillary's "I'm over it, you should be too," attitude is inherently more dangerous.

Hiding the wrongs and disguising the truths is usually a good indicator of someone who doesn't care if they were right or wrong, but is mostly concerned about what the public perception will be if people find out.

The recent findings that the French government covered up the fact that terrorists at Bataclan committed torture is a perfect example of the feel good, don't say or admit anything that may be politically incorrect mentality:

A French government committee has heard testimony, suppressed by the French government at the time and not released to the media, that the killers in the Bataclan tortured their victims on the second floor of the club during the 2015 Paris attacks.

Police witnesses in Parliament said they vomited when they saw the disfigured bodies.

Islamic killers apparently gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths while they were still alive. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were stabbed in the genitals – and all the torture was, victims told police, filmed for ISIS or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said.

Investigator: After the assault, we were with colleagues at the passage Saint-Pierre Amelot when I saw weeping from one of our colleagues who came outside to vomit. He told us what he had seen.

These are the questions recently asked by the investigator and the answers received:

Q. "Did acts of torture happened on the second floor?"

A. "Bodies were not presented to families because there were beheaded people there, the murdered people, people who have been disemboweled. There are women who had their genitals stabbed."

Q. "All this would have been videotaped for ISIS?"

A. "I believe so. Survivors have said so."

Elsewhere the investigator says women were sexually tortured, stabbed in the genitals, and their eyes were plucked out while they were still alive. People were also executed through decapitation. These facts were suppressed by the French government.

"Mr. President Georges Fenech Indeed, the Committee is troubled by this information which has appeared nowhere [in the media]. Thus, the father of one of the victims sent me a copy of a letter he sent to the investigating judge, which I quote in summary":

they had cut off his testicles, had put them in his mouth, and he was disemboweled. When I saw him behind glass, lying on a table, a white shroud covering it up to the neck, a psychologist was with me. He said: This is “the only presentable part, your son’s left profile.” I found that he had no right eye. I made the remark; I was informed that they had punctured his eye and sliced down the right side of his face, where there was a very large hematoma that we could all see. ”

This particular witness could corroborate the statements that we heard from one of the BAC officials, that one of his investigators vomited immediately on leaving the Bataclan after finding a decapitation and evisceration.

Q. "Are you aware of such facts?"

The prosecutor replied lamely that perhaps shrapnel had caused the mutilation. The head of the committee asked if an explosion would have placed testicles in a victim’s mouth:

Prosecutor: I specify, for the sake of clarity: some of the bodies found at the Bataclan were extremely mutilated by the explosions and weapons, to the point that it was sometimes difficult to reconstruct the dismembered bodies. In other words, injuries described this father may also have been caused by automatic weapons, by explosions or projections of nails and bolts that have resulted.

Q. "Would those have put a man’s genitals in his own mouth?"

A. Prosecutor: "I do not have that information."



It's as if the Lockerbie bombing, the Madrid train bombings, the Bali bombings, the sinking of the ferry in the Philipines, and the Beslan school siege never happened. The hundreds of school kids that were kidnapped and forced to drink their own urine in order to keep from dying of dehydration?

The page after page after page of terrorist attacks all with one common underlying factor?

Deny, deny, deny. Show me a statistician, who can honestly claim that the null hypothesis is true?

There is some serious cognitive dissonance going on the "progressive" side of this issue. So much so, that their thinking makes me wonder what conditions their brains are in.




This kind of horror has been following this particular ideology for almost 1,400 years. It didn't start with Israel, it isn't limited to western aggressors or non believers. It doesn't end when a country officially adopts that ideology.

We won't ever find a solution until we are willing to actually look at the problem. This doesn't mean the western world has to play horse doctor, but it might mean some amputation of gangrenous members.

Facing unpleasant truths is never easy. We not only dishonor the victims when we fail to honestly look at the underlying causes, we allow future atrocities to continue unabated.

Ehhh...attack Hillary all you want (there is a lot of stuff that deserves it and a lot that is bullshit), but Trump is still the bullshit master. I don't expect competence from him on terrorism. There is that Johnson guy too.

By the way, Trump's VP pick is a pro Iraq, anti gay, pro trade agreement, pro muslim guy. It seems Trump is whoring himself to the establishment for votes and money. Everyone has been cucked. I guess is the way to lock the pharisee vote. Supporters in reddit are already spinning it on their safe space, The_Donald. It seems he is playing Mario Kart in the Yau Calabi Manifold Rainbow Road while Hillary is playing checkers.

As opposed to: doesn't care if they were right or wrong, but is mostly concerned about whether the public perception will be focused on them.

Trump isn't consistently right. He's said things which have, quite rightly, earned him negative public perception. But he's running with an "any publicity is good publicity" strategy, which means: any comment is a good comment. The strategy is working (not on me so much as on America), and I think he's going to win, but don't delude yourself into thinking he's a different kind of person from Hillary Clinton.

The main difference is candor; one candidate is a former reality TV attention whore, the other isn't. Nothing less, nothing more.

Edit: what I mean by the strategy working is... I was driving around yesterday and had NPR on to listen to news about the Nice attack (my AM radio sucks). What NPR repeated at regular intervals was a brief description of the attacks, and that Donald Trump is delaying his running-mate announcement as a result. So our national news, on liberal news radio, is already in the form of what happened, plus Papa Trump's comment on the issue. He might as well already be President.

Trump has currently a 33% chance to win (or so the stat guys say). I wish it was near zero, but that's not a beautiful world. He may win, but sanity is more likely to prevail.

Not happy with Pence but at least it's not Newt which would have been a guaranteed JFKing for Trump. I hope Pence makes a strong appearance tomorrow and at least denounces TPP. Trump really wants the cuckservative vote I guess.

Economists at reddit (hilarious guys <3) seem to be all pro TPP. Aren't you sure is not one of those things that everyone gets randomly mad about without knowing the details (not very well read about the subject, I know it has provision to improve labor laws, and I think the copyright part was crappy)?

I mean, I've seen anti free trade stuff lately from normally right wing people (and kinda knowing the theory behind that seems bullshit, also, I live with high tariffs and results are pretty much meh...so I know the counterfactual). I kinda get governments didn't do enough to assist people displaced by trade, but the numbers pretty much indicate is a big improvement for almost everyone, not just GDP numbers.

Mr. Still makes some good points about Pence, and while he still has an issue with Pence on a point or two (which I share), overall, he sees plenty of positives which go far to explain Trump's choice of running mate. =^[.]^=
