Zealot's Oath

I use zealots on my main ci build with about 4.4% life regen. ZO is absolutely insane for ci builds imo. Life regen is such a good stat, it can make you literally immortal in situations where you would otherwise die. A monster is hitting you for 1k damage every 2 seconds, in 12 seconds you will have lost all your 6000 life and be dead. Add in 500 life regen per sec and now you get hit for 1k, regen 1k over the next 2 seconds, get hit for 1k again... this monster now cannot kill you, its impossible for it to kill you even if you gave it a year of attacking you while you just stood there.
On my ci witch I use zo, gr and aegis toether, I wouldnt drop any of them tbh but it is slightly overkill, you dont need all 3 its just nice if you can manage to get them. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" I see your point, it is useful, but it just doesn't suits me. However, you totally have the point about that monster part. That makes is really good, only if you count regenerate it in combat it would be even better |

" That is not true. You get a lot of energy shield as a CI build, even a really little %regen can have huge impact. And it is extremely annoying when you have to stand in the middle of a burning ground without regeneration, or having bleed effect on you, this little extra regen gives you extra time to react/ survive in a situation where you don't have time to activate the recharge. Enduring cry with increased duration becomes a panic button for healing. Etc etc. Last edited by krenderke#3861 on Nov 30, 2015, 10:33:50 AM

" As far as I know, it wouldn't work on burning ground / bleed since that counts as you're in combat. |

" Zeloth oath grants you life regen as energy shield regen, you are talking about energy shield recharge, that is different. ![]() Last edited by krenderke#3861 on Nov 30, 2015, 11:15:03 AM

Zealot's Oath converts Life Regen to ES Regen. Life Regen works whether you're taking Damage or not, and so does ES Regen. That's the whole point :P

" If you don't mind explaining, what's the difference? |

theres life regeneration and energy shield recharge. Regen is just always happening, as soon as you lose life or es then it regens it back at whatever rate of regen you have. Energy shield recharge is entirely different, thats the thing that kicks in after 3 seconds of not taking damage and then shoots up really fast. Entirely seperate thing, you always have your energy shield recharge but zo adds a constant flat regen on top.
I can run bloodrage on my ci build and I dont lose es, I dont lose es from burning ground etc, they count as damage so they stop my recharge after 3 seconds thing but I just always regenerate 4.4% of my es. Vipermagi did it above your last post.
Life regen works in combat, this is life regen, but applies to energy shield, so it works every time. Regen works always. Recharge only works out of combat (100/(100+recharge occurance modifier)) in my case with 150% its after 0.8 sec of not taking dmg. |
