Zealot's Oath

So, I'm trying out Zealot's Oath on a CI build, and flasks and Enduring Cry don't seem to work on my energy shield. Am I doing something wrong or?

Zelots oath dosnt make life recovery from flasks apply to energy shield unfortunately. As for enduring cry you should be seeing an increase in your energy shield regeneration for a short time after using it, and or if you have the node that gives life regeneration per endurance charges you should also see an increase in es regen.

Flasks will not work, different kind of life reg. EC should work, it worked fine for my EB ZO build.

So in other words, Zealot's Oath is useless?

Not at all. If it would enable life flasks for CI, it would be way to op. It is hard to use it for CI, cuz u dont get much life reg nodes and need to invest several passives for ZO. Most builds go GR. But u can still make it work. It all depends on what build u do and what skill u use.

So, for an example, how do RF ES based build regenerate in combat then?

Life regen + ZO. It is possible to do, but most of the time not worth it. Es builds do not have good access to life regen and to pull this off, u would need to sacrifice a lot and gain too little.

The only good reason(from what i know) to use ZO now, is in EB build.

Ah, thank you for explaining. If I'm getting it right, there is no way to regenerate ES in combat other than leeching it, right?

ZO and life regen will regen in combat. So, if you grab some life regen nodes on the tree (or on gear, ha!) or are wearing blooddance boots or something, you will regen in combat.

Pretty much. Jewels can grant ES on hit, Vaal Discipline lets you regen while taking damage for its duration, there might well be a couple more things I've missed, but yeah, Ghost Reaver and Zealot's Oath are the main ones.
