Dear GGG...How about delivering the long promised in-game trading surface.

I +1 this, GGG don't want AH but some alternative to poe.trade will be nice see.
everytime i set up shop and wait some nab to lowball me i see how much trade system is...
You're clearly has no clue about me do you?

I am already playing end game content, been playing it since PoE started back in 2012-13.

I even played the original closed beta back in 2011-2012 and was a closed beta supporter like my forum title suggests.

So my claims and experience are very real whatever you may think.

I'm not one of the thousands of newbies who sign up with throw away e-mail addresses and came here to the forum blabbering about nonsense and demand an AH without backing up their claims.

I'm an old player and I always play standard.

I have one character right now on Talisman, but I don't know if I could be bothered to level it up since I have so much more fun just playing standard.

I tried HC once or twice but since my internet connection was sometimes very bad in the past I almost always died from desync, so I just gave it up altogether. Why start HC if I end up in standard, right?

Standard is flooded with items. You can literally cherry pick your gear. Besides even league specific gear makes it to standard after the league ends, so I rarely miss out on goods.

When I miss out is because said inconveniencies. I'm really sorry if my suggestion bothers you this much, but I really have no other idea how trade could be "fixed" without this trading surface.

Obviously the old trading means would stay in place, so you wouldn't be cheated out of anything.
Also the trading surface could be standard and non-league only, so you HC players and league players don't have to worry about your precious economy over there.
Standard is already F***ed up so it would be really no bother for the players there.
I love standard so don't misunderstood my last sentence. I absolutely love that it is F*-ed up. :)

You mention that people with more trade TABs will get richer than others. Your point is meaningless when you consider that people with more regular stash tabs are already richer than others since they can put away more loot which they can list on poe.trade. Then there is the flip floppers who buy sstuff under market value from clueless players, then sell it for twice that price later.

They absolutely thrive on these inconveniencies, because they know that newbies who come later want to level up fast to be able to play with friends who are already in the game. So these newbies don't want to wait until the trade partner they're waiting for comes around and buy or sell the items from these flip-floppers instead.
You don't have to be a genius to calculate the amount of riches these flip-floppers have accumulated since the start of standard. We're talking about thousands of exalts, mirrors, legacy stuff etc. AND if said flip-flopper are also a nolifer, then there is absulutely no telling how rich they become by now.

So this trading system/surface or whatever you want to call it at least would put a damper on these occurences.

You're also very obviously bothered by tese AH claims since you seem to be there almost in every debate about them. Trust, me I also have seen a lot of unfounded claims over these year's. Heck, back in the day some of them were dated as far back as closed beta. Even then people wanted more efficient ways to trade.

I used to have some heated debates with a guy called Dirk Austin. He was kind of a troll, even got himself suspended once. I don't know if he is still around because I don't see him anywhere on the forum. Or he just intentionally avoiding my posts and hiding or created another user identity.

You kind of remind me of him. Although he was more of a bad troll and a jerk. You're neither of those. If anything, you're a nice troll and bit of a fanboy who tries to champion the cause of GGG. A "GGG Knight Rider".

BUT, even you have to see that the later GGG decides to do something about this matter, the more the number of disappointed people grow.

So my idea is:

Put a trade surface in standard, also create another perma league with fresh economy without this trading surface, so who want a standard perma-league without trade surface/AH would be able to go there.

HC and temp leagues would be left alone.

Maybe GGG said a long time ago about an in-house trading system, but once they looked at the code they realized they had spoke to soon and it would be a much bigger change to implement than they originally imagined.

Most people who seem to want both an in-house trade system also seem to want GGG to continue at the same pace of creating new content and leagues and expansions. But I think it is more likely that GGG can only do one or the other if they want to be efficient with their time.

For you I can just say no ther thing than to quote The_Great_Alex:

So you think other companies do it not the way you just described? =) huh

How do you imagine other companies do it? :

- Ok guys, starting tomorrow we will be creating a new game " Path of Exalteds". For 2 years, 9 months and 23 days.... it will be an alpha version and then we release full game. It will have 12647 patches before 3.0 version.... you, Sam, on the 758 day of creating it are not gonna miss that day due to your headache, we will be needing you here making hotfixes for just released patch....

Then one day a forum girl asks the devs to create a brassiere for her magician character cuz naked boobs looks wierd. And the reply is: " What? We have tasks for the next 3 years on schedule, we dont have time this!"

Their proirities bla bla bla, I have heard it many times, statred just after I joined the game. Of course they have stuff to do! Just like any other company. Other companies makes patches or release new stuff when player ask for it, didnt you know? But GGG cant eh?

So the feedback here is: Re-think your priorities. I would much rather have some QOL improvements and balancing / improvements for existing content rather than new content. Trade system would be higher priority for me as well.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
Exactly.

Besides I don't think they forget to check how much change it would require to implement the trade system before they talked about it. They're rookies, but not that rookie to forget about such an important thing, and they have certainly come a long way since that.

I also much rather have them work on QOL and a trade system than releasing new content "too early" and fixing it later.

Recent patch was no exception. They released it, then the next few days they spent the week patching it.

I'm sure the trade system implement would be a hard work with similar bumps along the way and it wouldn't be perfect on first try.
Even then it would be hands down better than anything we have now.
