Pets that pick up loot
Hi
A long time ago I mentioned the idea of pets having dance mtx or some sort of fight sequence mtx with other exiles pets. These mtxe's would/could perhaps be sold in the same category as the dance mtxe's for exiles. Otherwise pets holding items, taking to town=pay2win= NO. Sidenote: Although it has been argued before that having multiple stash tabs is pay2win also which I comment on with: with the more stuff GGG adds to game will only result in having to give players, eventually, more then 4 initial stash tabs. It all has to do with an equation of balance. cheers Conan: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.

" GGG always has the excuse that you have 25 character slots per account which can be used to mule, its a free to play game so you can create as many mule accounts as you want. So they never have to add more stash space because everyone has access to the same amount of stash tabs. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

I don't like the way Torchlight does pets. I prefer the POE approach, having a cool looking pet but which doesn't do anything but look cool and follow you around.

" a matter of personal preference, I suppose. to me, TL2's pet with the fighting strategy (I always put "aggressive" and it gets itself KOed. should probably stop doing that on Elite Difficulty), Inventory + auto-sell, and especially the "go buy me more Potions before this insane boss fight" ... is pure brilliance of a feature. but the Stash in TL2 becomes very small very quickly. " 1) yes, OP's idea is obv pay-to-win. Ergo: boo! Hiss! 2) I think it would be #Hilarious if pets danced when you RIP. ;D 3) - I still think, harkening back to an older post I made here, that hardcore pets (for cheap) would be interesting. - I also still think that being able to cosmetically level up pets would be sweet. Also, when will we be able to have multiple pets? #Overdue. - 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0- 0 * - <

I would love to see this feature added, BUT only for Scrolls and maybe Scraps ;)

Instead of picking up loot, we need to have pets that pick up pets.
Like a turtle totem pole. Or maybe all your pets should follow you at once, like a rampaging katamari. Charan would zip through town and everyone around him will crash/dc. Actually, a pet that could open a vendor window would be pretty damn nice for mapping (esp coop). GGG could charge 500 points for it and subsequent sales would probably fund another 2 years of development. Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client. Sounds cute! I want a little squirrel running around picking up acorns!
In all seriousness though, I don't think this would be a viable suggestion, as GGG is against any paid advantages over other players who choose not to pay and instead enjoy what this game has to offer for free. Cheers! |
