Made myself a Lightning Arrow ranger for the Darkshrine event becouse of 3 reasons:

1. i wanted to try out Darkshrines since they sounded interesting and fun,
2. i haven't made a Ranger yet
3. i really wanted to make a Steampunk-style ranger, hence the electricity/lightning theme

So far it went pretty smoothly: i'm mostly following a LA Ranger guide from the forums so i don't have to do a lot of theorycrafting; i'm playing exclusively self-found becouse i have some useful gear waiting on standard and it will carry over soon enough, hence no problems with trading either. I just reached Merciless yesterday at level 60, so level-wise it's been going smooth so far as well... I also met a friendly guy by random chance (he asked me if i could buy him a gem and we started talking a bit etc.), so even the social aspect is working well :)

All in all, for me it's been GG so far.

ripped twice trying to play melee, so i re rolled a crit ball lightning witch. found this sweet belt but otherwise nothing great so far

Phew! I beat Cruel Dominos about 4 minutes before the server maintenance. Was rushing to do it. It went really well compared to Dominos on Normal.

This time, I took the time to run behind the wall when things got hairy, and tp out to refresh my potions. I did that about three times. I feel so dirty!

Other than that, it was pretty fun. This time around, I think I had my resists almost maxed out. I crafted a new helm, gloves, and boots, and wore two two-tone rings to do it.

Woot! Found a new maul in the aqueduct!

I have started using 3rd curse: warlord's mak and curse on hit with lightning ball. Because reflect was too hard for me. I started using wand+shield to get block and more life (+ a bit of energy shield). Now I got 5132 life, 1023 energy shield, 2300 dps on ligthning ball.

Found in pier map.
Ghosted exile gave me unique Saffell's Frame so I can swap it for some bosses.

created bunch of chars, got bored before even getting into cruel, finally made a crit EA ranger. its a little hard to run because of mana cost, i even run it with Reduced mana

Lvl 89, Chaining arziri since mid week one for immense profit.
SRS, 5 auras (Clarity, AA, Haste, Hatred, POF).
With aura effectivness and flask up i get 92% fire res, can easily facetank all flameblasts, (not that i do it).
Very simple, fairly cheap, just around 5 ex investment.
Got around 8 ex atm, selling dory belts like a mad man and gonna get a 6l soon.

Gonna get an EE arc totem proc in the 2l on my belly when going for uber, which will be once i get a +3 6L

Pretty much done with gearing my EA scion, will map for the rest of the league and get lvl 85 +

Yeah there would be no point in that, unless I'm doing something wrong in at least two dozen items that had the right mod I've hit perfection once.
