Trivium is my favorite band, has been since '05. Don't really feel like naming any more, because there are many I'd feel are really worth mentioning.

Funny joke, mate. I've been listening to a lot of new metal stuff, actually before liking the older stuff. And when I compare them, new stuff sounds copy-pasted and just with worse lyrics and song structures.

Well, i've also listened to lots of old and new bands, and I completely disagree with you, there are many bands with good ideas and some innovation. And yes, i think some old metal bands are very overrated, especially the popular ones (iron maiden, judas priest, etc)
