Expand the story line

Hi

I think each new league could add a new layer to the storyline. Example: warbands, why were they their? Where did they get matching clothes? Why didn't they drop lore?????...The ''warbands'' could've even dropped map fragments to their secret camp...The potentials,:( sigh.

POE has a great story but it is not immersive enough, the current added voices speaking as opposed to be stuck reading a slow text is a definite step in the right direction to a future more lore easy player interests immersed POE environment. Sure graphics are one thing but having some great voice acting speech being presented to your ears can bring a wholly different suspenseful mood to the scene in the game instead of blizzard classic video eye candy sequence/cut scene.

The thing is though POE has added quite a lot of lore since I first started and it goes largely unnoticed because it isn't immersive or connectively congruent with the current players situation in the game, example: what if the first boss hillock said a cryptic phrase as it died...etc... GGG doesn't have the finances to afford eye candy/ glitz and glam, GGG needs to use subtler methods: atmosphere and environment development to pique players interests in the lore itself also:P, sure players play the game but are they interested in knowing more?, players need to be sold on that ethereal hunger of wanting to know more about the games world, feel invested in it like their character is making differences in Wraeclast. Their is none of this and it becomes most painfully apparent by act 4.

Act 4 is awesome but lacks the ability or encouragement for players to know about the story line or even the characters in the new town. I have always thought even by act 2: why don't they find it that amazing that I made it through that ape infested forest...or that I chose a gang leader over the town, etc...One day:)

As the current state of this game is, Warbands was one of the most discombobulated leagues due to lack of story or proper explanation.

cheers

Yea, Warbands feel very similar to Anarchy. I'm not expecting a flashy storyline, but since we spend most of the time fighting our way through monsters. They could maybe incorporate the storyline while we're fighting, like Daresso's area, it's explained while you go through the area, that's probably the only part of A4 that I know decently
