How much stuff is rotting in stashes?

Fortunately, all items in my Standard League stash are just millions of 0s and 1s that will never rot away. Only way I'll lose them is if GGG goes under and the game servers are shut down. Otherwise, with the usual expected data redundancy on the games servers my stuff should be good until I die.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Standard is good for meta try out. Got some sick gear in there.

But league is boring as fuck. Just try 1m.
Its insanity on steroids looool.

Never was so amused in poe before.
Tomorrow will be even better muhahaha.

Let the gear rot in perm :)

I think we are probably forgetting about items that we have fond memories of or with alternate art:

That's from my racing days back when my internet didn't suck quite as much.

I have tabs for 'good rares' which every now and again I go through selling stuff that has fallen below worthy of keeping(I have found much better) it's about 6 tabs. Then I have 10 tabs of uniques,a tab of level 75+ item bases,3 tabs for quality gems 4 tabs for high level none q gems.I have various 'remove only' + other various tabs.

Thats just a smidget. I like Charan, tend to keep most things in the chance that I make a build or swap items around I can go to my own bank grab what I need, without fooling around with buying something that resembled something I had already owned before but decided to sell for 'profit'.

Holy shit, a 4 white maligaro's? Dont think I've ever seen a 4 white anything, much less a high roll maligaro's. Those things must be worth a fortune.
Sure, the lab can be hard, but it's pretty easy if you're properly geared, and not terrible at the game.
I vendored everything I had (20+ tabs) except uniques and race rewards. Was a pretty good decision, I didn't play perm leagues because I had every item I wanted transfered from past temp leagues.
Having to find gear while leveling made the perm league feel rewarding again.

So, I just looked up how much my uniques with alternate art are worth in hardcore. This baby is offered for 100ex on poe.trade and there are only 3:

I guess that's just people showcasing their old treasures or something? 0_o

I haven't bothered to look up their poe.trade prices because they're 100% selling prices, not 100% buying prices.

It's a shame that we can't see items that have been traded in the last couple of days to get a feeling what "reasonable" prices would be to sell something.

I think I might participate in the next race season again. Racing was fun! And the unique art is worth the effort in some cases. I'm not good enough to compete with the big racers but maybe for some low-hanging fruit... =3

Well then, this brings to mind and interesting idea that could benefit standard players with loots (softening the inflation a bit, since currency traded would likely go unused), and reduce the burden of handling after-league gear while still allowing some compensation for maybe-down-the-road use for the seller.

A service akin to storage auctions. List everything, and sell it all to the single highest bidder. Probably end up selling at a discount, but also at a premium in terms of time spent for the reward.

Forseeably, there is a major problem with this. Since any trade that would benefit from this model is going to be rather large, how do you handle incremental trades without someone getting ripped off? The only solution I see with the current tools available would be to divide it in to chunks based on stash tab which the seller and top bidder would have to have further negotiation on (through a structured GUI process).

Still a bit of work, and a lot of due diligence, but seems like an idea!

Edit: Some further thoughts. A seller would have to put some thought in to ordering the incremental trades from least to most desirable to avoid having a buyer cut it off early in the process once they get what they really want. Still, it's going to happen. If the listing process was simple enough, though, it may not be too terrible.

Edit2: If the service could also parse the vendor value, including recipe combinations, you'd have a way for folks to feel confident about setting a minimum buyout.
