Most Faceroll Spec?

I have both a LS marauder and a GS marauder and while they are both very cookie cutter spec, they just dont reach the level of facerolling a properly assembled etheral knifes shadow - which is also pretty cookie cutter.

So for me, EK shadow wins as it mixes the low gear dependency with easy and fast mob clearing.

Well i can offer my build, i used it more or less for several months, so it works.
It's can be based on either marauder, duellist or ranger - no difference at all there.

Basically you avoid any DPS points, build up pure dex, str and some int.
And take all armour (evasion, hybrid) points you can get.
I spent a lot to make decent resistances as well, as i will collect better gear i'll trim them down and take another evasion branch (near ranger's starting point up, 10-10-30-10-10)

In closed beta i had 25000 armour with maxed out resists and 2500 HP at the same level,
Here in open beta, due to a crappy gear i have only around 19000 and 2400, but 80-80-80 resists (i went for "elemental adaptation" this time)

The pattern is "use warlord's mark, leap in and sweep"
If you have 4-6L and some sense you can easily build up decent DPS, of course you will not kill things as fast, but you will hardly ever die. So yes, it's a "faceroll" build indeed.

A recommend links "Sweep+more melee damage+fire damage+increased range" if you have more links and up to some fun you can add ignite, knockback, fire penetration, reduced mana - it's up to you/
The main single target skill should be heavy strike in this case. it knocks back and interrupts, which is really nice on some bosses, link it with culling strike, atk. speed and more melee damage (going elemental here is not a best idea) the rest up to you.

I suggest you ling leap slam with faster atk, increased area and more melee damage as well.

In the end you get a wierd 2H armed "tank" with excellent armour, decent HP and regenerations.
That doesn't mean you cant die, thought, but the build is very "lag friendly",it's an opposite of a glass cannon.

This toon excels as a first char, when your gear sucks, you are poor and in need to farm ;-)

Oh, yeah, as a "backup" you can use ethereal knives with "faster projectiles" and "pierce" and reduced mana (at high lvls they are really mana-costly), auras could be different, "clarity, hatred, grace is my choice", but you can go with purity to save some passives, or whatever you like.
