(15-30)% increased Damage over Time Righteous Fire
|
Hi, I found these LEO mods here:
(15-30)% increased Damage over Time (10-20)% reduced Damage taken from Damage Over Time So, when I craft this in one weapon each 20%, does it nullify? Or is iDoT considered damage dealt to enemies and does not affect RF degen to me? Cheers Alex |

I believe the damage over time mod done to enemies will affect them but not you. The reduced damage over time will reduce the amount you take.
The only time you increase damage taken from RF is fragile bloom jewel because it increases damage taken. Making RF damage higher will not make you take more damage. |

" Right, RF has two parts, damage part and buff part. Damage part is the AoE, it is considered your damage output and is scaled by your damage bonuses. Buff part is spell damage multiplier and damage to self, it will be directly affected only by very exotic 'buff effect' bonus, and damage you take from it will of course be affected by 'damage taken' and 'damage taken over time'. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Reduced Damage from DoTs is bad for RF anyways; you can only craft it onto Shields and that means you're not using Rise of the Phoenix, which is way better. *shrug*

I´m a bit confused. Damage taken implies that you need to take a hit right?
For example the ring Heartbound Loop states that 350 Physical Damage Taken on Minion Death, and this triggers CoDT, and if CoDT needs a threshold hit(s) to trigger, it means that the ring effect counts as hit. If Fragile Bloom says 10% Increased Damage Taken, it means that you take 10% Increased Damage Taken from hits and not from Damage over Time. There is low information about this type of mechanic. Correct me if I'm wrong. |
|
" There were some discrepancies, but devs are trying to untangle it lately. Shock status means 'increased damage taken' and it correctly affects both hits and DoT. Fortify is supposed to be 'reduced damage taken from hits' and it doesn't work on DoT. Leo's craft states 'reduced damage taken from DoT' We can probably expect every effect introduced in the future to use this terminology. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I'm playing RF with a shield with the 20% reduced dot mod, but I'm low life so I need the es that Rise of the Phoenix doesn't provide. Works just fine.

" Damage Taken has always applied to both Damage and Damage over Time, so, no. Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Nov 6, 2015, 7:51:31 AM
