help about chaos orb.

hello,
just wondering, I'm level 53 cruel act 3, not a single drop of chaos orb all this time. it doesn't make sense, what am I missing? is there any other way to get chaos orbs? maybe they drop only after merciless? thank you... |

As far as I know random drops and trades are the only ways to get them. Im pretty sure Ive had them drop on normal difficulty. Sory bout the bad luck. :/

Most of my most valuable orbs (2 exalts, something like 15 chaos and countless alchs) have all dropped below Merciless.

in my time below merciless i saw roughly twice as many chaos drop as alchemy
go figure Playing Hardcore is like spending your life savings on a supercar and then driving it around uninsured just for the thrill of possibly crashing it.

Chaos orbs are certainly not only for Merciless. I found one in the Terraces on normal. About 20mins into a new character.
All I would suggest is adding as much increased rarity items as you can and any items you have that increase the drop rate... Hopefully your luck will change around :D |

Trade recipe for Chaos Orb
Recipe: 2 rare rings, 1 rare amulet, 1 rare boots, 1 rare gloves, 1 rare belt, 1 rare armour, 1 rare headpiece + either 1 rare two-handed weapon or 1 rare one-handed weapon + 1 rare shield or 2 one-handed weapons, quivers do not seem to count in any of these recipes! Reward: 1 Chaos Orb (2 if items are unidentified) Note, these can be of any level. So save up rares and dump them when you have a full set into the traders' sell window to get a chaos orb |

Hmm, till level 70 on hardcore, I looted about 4 chaos, traded about 50 and crafted about 40 or so.

Actually, there's a recipe to get it from vendors. If you stick in a rare item from all slots (head, torso, weapon, shield etc.) for a total of 9 pieces of gear (8 if you vendor a rare 2-handed weapon) you get a chaos orb. If all the pieces are unidentified, you get 2 chaos orbs.
Probably worth more than if you vendored them separately. |

Use a quantity gem or have it on your gear to potentially get more currency to drop. Item rarity will have no effect of currency quality or quantity.
