Leveling beyond lvl 100 ??

I think its a good idea to add some more motivation to the endgame..

Adding 10-20 levels above with each expansion will spice the game abit..

Any thoughts?

You're going to need a bigger map.

It's a hack trick, one of the worst legacies of WoW, and a poison to the whole industry. Hell, I wrote a whole thread (in Feedback and Suggestions, Levelling vs. Endgame) about what's wrong with that kind of mentality, based on an article where it explains why it sucks.

It's just moving goalposts, and making obsolete the previous levels.

If new content is added that justifies a higher tier (such as Everquest did initially) it's valid. I think it would take a much larger player base to support enough GGG staff to be able to generate major expansions on an annual basis that would justify raising the cap.

I'd love to see GGG in that position though, and have Path of Exile become a vast sprawling world with level 120 areas mixed in with level 50 and 90 areas, and level 150 maps. There would be monsters that would be scary no matter how well you were geared, and some tricky, but manageable ways of defeating them.

What content does justify that? At the end, those are just numbers. You can have a vast sprawling world without level 120, and scary monsters (they exist, they are just outside your reach thanks to wealth gating). The tricky part can be implemented fairly horizontally. 1 to 100 is enough space for all the content one would need, rather than making the early levels so far from the higher content, you need to bring them close.

This is not an MMO, guys. Get real.

What they should do is implement Paragon levels. Or even better, Paragon tiers.

The problem with Paragon is that it is vertical progression (just more stats), and that adds unnecesary power creep. I think the game would be better served by fairly horizontal ways to progress.

Higher levels? Have no problem with that.

Power creep? Sucks. So if you make levels higher than 100, just don't add any more XP or higher level maps to the game. People can get to lvl 105 then maybe, if they play really hard for half a year. Gives those players something to do without fucking up the game for everyone else.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
Making the max level beyond 100 is definitely just moving the goal posts. The grind in PoE is extreme enough already so just adding more levels to grind through would certainly bore most players out (permanent burnout).

GGG needs to come up with new and clever end game challenges that are doable for the 99% of players. Just more levels to grind is not good. Maybe GGG could come up with recipes that required certain ingredients that required us to travel to certain locations within zones/maps to open a chest or kill a special creature that would drop the ingredient (remember Wirt's Leg as a needed item to get to the secret cow level in D2?). Acquire all the ingredients and then vendor them for a valuable prize, no stack of Wisdom scroll garbage reward but an honest to god valuable end game build enabling reward.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
