Level of gear drops vs difficulty level

probability is not that u roll a dice 6 times and you get a 6 for sure. you can roll a dice a hundred times and dont roll a single 6. not probable, but possible.

yes, probability is a bitch, but thats what it is.

and in poe drops gear for 6 (!) different classes. perhaps you roll the six, but not for the class that you are. well, thats what trading is for. or giving away good stuff for free and make friendships this way, so other people start looking for gear that you need (but they dont).

im with you that its a bit stupid and frustrating if masses of items drop that are 20lvls below yours. they will do something about that.

but its definetly NOT true, that you need to stack +%item-quantity or -rarity to find something good at all. i have played many characters beyond the 50s, one in hc (lvl62 RIP), and it wouldnt have been possible if i havent found good loot. and i was not using dedicated %-item-gear.

i dont know if i am the lucky one who rolls all the 6es that you dont get. but i dont think so.

now i have played about 20 minutes with my lvl 23 hc-marauder, killing alira and the weaver on normal. and look what i have found (without any (!) %-item-mods on my gear):

no real kickass-items, but some nice mods on them for sure. and ive skipped most of the magic items, two of them would have been an upgrade (but i have bought a new 1h-axe from the vendor before thats even better than the rare i found and the +movementspeed-boots had bad sockets on them, so i decided to stay with my old 3-linked-red). and those currency-itmes will be nice to give a good white item a try...

yes, the axe is 8 lvl beyond me now, the dirk 5, and none of this of use for me. but again 2 rares, without any +%itemrarity. they will do something about the itemlvls (but probability can still mess it up...). but again a good load of currency to craft or trade. havent looked much for whites/magic because im fine with my gear atm and am trying to finish normal diff.

i know thats all a bit OT, but... as said, they will do something about the itemlevels. but i really dont think that the droprates suck... thats quite a lot rare and currency-stuff for 40 minutes of playing, or what do you think?

made my way to cruel. found a very nice rare 2h-axe and 1h-sword in the waterfall-caves. could have used the axe but wanted to stick with 1h/shield. offered the stuff for free in global - and got this very nice armour as present in return (without asking for anything!):

i dont know what u think, but for me thats nice material with good sockets to craft with (im a 1h-axe/shield marauder). i wont do it cause im still satisfied with the gear i found or traded some lvls before...

i really LOVE the game and its loot system!
