Level of gear drops vs difficulty level

I'm wondering if the gear rarity/level of gear that drops in higher difficulties should be tuned or not. I'm currently in Cruel difficulty now, and I noticed that the vast majority of the gear I see that drops is that of EARLY normal areas (I'm in act 2 Cruel).

Bows still don't drop much (for ME at least, unsure of anyone else's luck so far since the patch), and nothing's more disheartening than to see a blue/yellow piece drop, only to find that it would've been WONDERFUL........had I found that drop back when I was level ONE. O.o

I'm seeing more bow drops now, on par with most of the other weapon types. But I do agree on the level of drops in higher difficulty. Could we get a minimum level set for items per difficulty? I hate running around level 50+ mobs, and getting level 10 items, constantly. The only benefit I see to this is the added slots on those lower items. But when you level at a steady pace, with few skill gems to use at lower level, more slots aren't generally needed.
drops are totally random and doesn't matter what difficulty you do its always going to be white named junk and low level until you boost your raritey of drops % with gear.

that's right they are forcing you to get the rariety of drops on all your gear to find upgrades, difficulty only shows the cap of the level of the gear that you can get with your high %.

a backwards system, but its how they decided to do it.
just stack over 150% rare drop rate and you'll see some blues drop off trash and yellows of special mobs and bosses.

But therein lies the problem: When you're NOT getting ANYTHING, how can you then try to rely on obtaining %rarity gear when it never drops? That's another issue along with the bow drop rate/item lvl thing.
hahahaha 150% rariy with a ranger ? tell me how i should do dmg than. omg

i dont like those lvl 10 item drops in lvl 41 area , too !
this wouldnt be as much of a problem if the items mods were capped to item requirement level, in many cases getting lvl 1 items with lvl 50 mods.

i like finding this items in higher lvl areas but the fact that this lower lvl items spawn with high lvl required mods is a bit annoying.
What makes the problem worse is the rarity if crafting items.

Before 93 item drops were like this, but crafting items were way more common so even if you didn't get a good drop you still could craft up something.

I agree with this. Getting decent items to play the game without grinding is really hard. And as was said before 0.9.3 we could at least craft items.

Since I have started playing I don't remember getting a single item that was both a good rare (for that level) and had good socket combination. In the end I crafted 1-2 in 0.9.2

Now, I just don't have any good items as I don't have nearly enough orbs to craft anything.

And as grinding is not fun I am not playing PoE at the moment (when I try I get bored after 15 min). Just following patches at the moment and waiting to see fun changes to the game (which might come with vendor buying our items).

Good news!
Chris has recently stated that 0.9.5 will include a significantly higher bias towards higher level base items.
It may mean lowered drop rates or something of that sort, but overall I think it should help a lot.

I agree. It's sad that you have to save up a weeks worth of Fusings to get enough to MAYBE have 3-4 slots on your weapon or gear. And that's if you have GOOD luck.

And Chaos/Exalted Orbs have a silly fluctuation in drop rates. One minute it seems like if you SNEEZE on a mob, you get a Chaos Orb. Then for the next year and a half, you can't even find a WHETSTONE.
