Molten Strike Iron grip point blank Marauder passive tree, need help on a few things :)

the thing i need to find is out is if the aoe of the projectiles shotguns. Cause when they get released, it looks like they hit a little aoe when landing. Maybe they can overlap ?

they can.

Aoe effects are capable of overlapping.

And maybe you could have at least checked out the wiki page on molten strike before theorycrafting, eh? :)

Very helpful, even has a dps calc you can download.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

You're completely right ! The thing is with the changes to shotgunning in awakening, i wasn't sure if the projectile hitbox counted as an AOE or just a simple projectile. Complicated shite :D
My internal question was wait ... the skill is tagged as AOE but does that only refer to the spread of projectiles, how far they land around the area you just hit ! OR also the area where the projectiles land !

Lot's of helpful information, though i can understand your confusion.

Yes the projectiles themselves have an innate AOE component upon landing and yes they can overlap creating a shotgun-like effect.

This is one of the main reasons it's utilized a lot on mjollnir builds and CoC builds.

This is addressed in detail too, it describes the pacman-donut shape of the area fireballs fall in, its default dimensions and also mentions both fireball and major area radius are affected by AoE increases.

damn it is !!! hadn't actually noticed, thanks for the precision ! i'll try and make a full post about the build and wheter it is succeeding in the marauder builds section, also thinking of switching to duelist for the extra dex. Will be very nice for running green gems like grace and using evasion based armor for IR. In any case, thanks for the attention and help !
Good night to you, random cool internet people, i'm off to the pub
