The map level renaming and exp penalty rework are disrespectful to players

" lololololol XD 1. GGG stated that there are map tiers and top tier isn't or player to chain but to run from time to time in dev manifesto. People couldn't understand that (they can't read) So GGG add colors to make this easy to understand. 2. People spend a lot of time in areas from lvl 1 to 68 and this progress is "linear". Then they go to maps and they think thay still have to progress that way so when they have 82 lvl they have to chain 82 maps. It is wrong. Tiers on maps remove that misunderstanding. GGG explained that in manifesto, I bet you can read but do you understand what you read? " there is no set time for that, if you know how to roll maps, if you know how to lvl up fast, if you know how to make good build, if you understand mechanics you spend less time in low maps and move to high maps faster. This time is different for many players so there isnt expected time. Also you don't understand map system anyway because you mention 80 maps in this sentence. lol " I literally say "u mad bro?" They say about lvl 100 but changes affect all palyers who do high maps. Once again you don't see what GGG is trying to accomplish. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." " What kamil means: PoE has no diversity in the end. Play a FotM build, use Ambush via Zana on every map and always roll your boxes "3 blue packs". And the rename of maps (Lvl is now Tier)? Yeah, we know that marketing tool! Raider becomes Twix, ... nothing else changes. Worked for Mars Incorporated and now for GGG too xD Have a problem with something I said? There's fuck all wrong with maps at the moment. I don't get why we need anymore changes. Focus on other parts of the game that screw with system performance.
If youre willing to invest in rolling your maps and do harder content you will find a way to sustain high level maps. All this fucking tweak tweak tweak does my head in. Stop messing everything up just as we all start to get used to the previous changes. These constant mapping changes drive me fucking insane. Just let me level to 100 in peace. |

" 1. we have FoTM build because often they are very good build. If player can choice A or B and B is a bit better than A then he will take B. You can't make game with perfect balance so you can't make game without FoTM things. " and play in party ;-) " IDK about mars incorporated but maps levels are misleading because maps are different than other content, it is good that GGG move to tiers. " ... and play in party, you are right. We both agree, diversity is overrated. "Learning to play" means: do the only thing that works atm. Nothing to "learn", just a simple copy&paste scenario, same for FotM... or more FotYear :D But I don't know what's missleading about map level... they show you what zone level your are entering (important for ilvl AND for me as a summoner... kind of). But in the end it's the same... I know a 68 is "easier" than a 69 map... same for tier 1/2. But people expected to play always maps that are similar to their char level... instead of a rename they should ramp up difficulty of maps... natural selection. No one wants to chain 82s (sry... it's now Twix... errr... Tier 15!) if they always die. You ask me how they should ramp up difficulty? IDK but I am no game designer and it's not my job. I really don't think we should take a terrible lecture about game pricing. Then compare it to a complex game that has much more difficult calculations then "800/10 = ?". Then try to simplify it into a discussion about how GGG is disrespectful.
If you can't do basic math then use one of the many websites that will explain it in simple terms for you. This isn't some kiddie puzzle game, pretty sure the intended audience is adults and anyone that knows the arpg genre knows number crunching is part of it. You do it yourself or find a website/calculator to do it for you. I don't necessarily agree with the new map tier system but it is clear they are trying to make it easier for new people to understand, that is not disrespectful that is the opposite. Yes it might be harder for long time players to understand but I think we already have a pretty good leg up on newbies and can adapt. |
