Poorjoy's asylum is...

Poorjoy's asylum is.... the fastest exp in poe. Lol
Well naturally if you are running it with chars over 90 it will be easy. DUH

It is challenging for 70s or even low 80s depending on build.
Censored.

Untainted Paradise has something to say about that.

and it is actually unique and with no BS "monster damage quadrupled and then we doubled it" tricks.
although giant packs of Worms are... yeah.

it's perfectly doable as melee if you have fkn insane gear and can face-tank Core Malachai while watching Youtube on the other screen.

fixed that for you.

I consider comparing max-roll-damage-rare-map-then-doubled-it Poorjoys to Death And Taxes (an actual unique map), a kind of blasphemy.

Did it with entirely self found, trashy gear more than once...as melee and always enjoyed it without dying once. No idea what your problem is.

And i did not compare anything, i just said those maps are awesome. Nothing more, nothing less. If you think otherwise that's ok too.
But please don't claim you can only do this map as melee if you

...un-be-fucking-lievably tedious! I had 4-15 fast summoners with corpse explosion per screen. Who could possibly consider that fun?! Every room was a drag. My health never really went below about 30%, but it took for fucking ever to clear this map. At the end of it, I was so annoyed that I stopped playing after vendoring 6 inventories of trash.

Gods, what a crap experience!
Suggestion: Add more titty bitches to replace at least half of those fucking summoners.

Were you raised in a barn, or is your language just always that foul?

Were you raised in a convent, or are you just always this prude :P

Quit trolling, how many times did the OP use the F word in one paragraph? The number is ridiculous, you can grow the fk up if you think that kind of language is acceptable.
Sounds like the asylum nearly drove you...

...CRAZY!
It's good to have challenging content that's not forced upon you. You can arise to a challenge, or simply pass it if it's not your thing. Luckily with Poorjoy's, you get to decide to run it or pawn it (unlike the lamest content ever, the cancer lab).

I'v run it quite a few times. It's pretty good experience for the level map it is. I do believe it was meant to be challenging so if you find it difficult then something was done right. I'v never died running it but I'v definitely had some close calls.

Map is dangerous, and I have to pay attention, instead of gear-checking everything - nerf it!

Gotta love nowadays forum community. Herpderp

I think I am also tired of the new community trend. Is it my imagination or were people less whiny a few years ago?

Well, I'm gonna be lynched for saying that, but whatever:

It happens to many games/communities - it starts as a small group of people who really wants to do something. They work on it, and give fair feedback, they have fun. Then the thing in question gets more popular, masses of imbeciles and people who only do something because it is popular (also see - every other internet trend - idiots killing themselves with buckets of cold water, Oculus Rift, which started as a Kickstarter project, which ended up as a corporate shit, and so on) arrive. They demand changes, they don't even understand.
They push it, until they break it. See some other games, that were ruined by community feedback (World of Warcraft being one of the best examples).

And what can I tell you - PoE got popular lately... :s I'd love more people to enjoy PoE, but when I look at people's attitudes towards fun, I take my words back and point them to D3 - Blizzard did EXACTLY that to D3. They made everything super accessible, loot super-duper-mythical-elite-legendary, so even the worst of players will feel like a rock star, picking up that super special item, for super special snowflake. Even if it actually drops for everyone, and there is NOTHING special about it.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.

don't worry about "making everything super-accessible", Perq.
there are things people asked since Beta - myself included of course - which GGG either consistently refused to do or taken tiny baby steps, which took literally years until they made it into the game.
I'm still waiting for normal crafting (and know I won't get one), and for that ridiculous "RNG is god" situation where your chances to get a Shav from some big mean fkn T10+ boss, are pretty similar to doing so from Dried Lake/Docks/etc' ... to just go away.

but enough off-topic.

that "Mortezzah or get the fk out" comment about Poorjoy's and Melee was intentionally exaggerated, but my opinion about this map remains the same:

1) It's not a Unique Map. it's a max-rolled damage Rare Temple which got doubled, with no unique features whatsoever.
2) it doesn't even have a proper unique boss, which could theoretically make it somewhat unique.
that, and said completely-not-interesting-nor-creative boss' drops are a massive fkn troll.
3) even comparing it with actual creative unique maps like Death And Taxes or Olmec's, is a spit in the face of the creators of said maps.
