Poe.trade is great, but shouldn't need to exist. Why doesn't GGG just pay the creator of the site and implement the same functionality into pathofexile.com?

This game doesn't need a fancy auction house. What it does need is a built in shop designer and shop indexer.

Sadly, without POE.XYZ no one will ever buy/treade anything from me.
I refuse to participate in the bot-infested "trade chat".
The only way to trade (very slowly) is the Diablo 2 style: create a game (party) and wait forever for someone to join and offer you cr@p.
GGG were talking about trade system years ago but now they prefer this to be a single player game.

I have to be honest here, why is anyone surprised that they haven't added their trade system yet..?
We're using so many third-party tools to deal with issues GGG simply doesn't deal with.

We use a bloody offline skill planner because it's faster than the online and shows stats.
We use poe.trade (xyz) to trade with since trade chat is cancer in every single way.
We use an online aura reservation calculator.
We use an online Vorici Chromatic calculator.
We use Procurement to set up a shop.
We use an online Wiki that's not made by GGG to look up Uniques and calculations of DMG etc.

I don't know man..
Also good luck playing this game as Self-Found, if you're not playing the most generic 1-sided cookie cutter build.

agreed. Going in trade chat is a good way to get yourself ripped off. For instance some people were selling Queen decree for 10c, while I just threw earlier my 32th Queen's decree. The irony

Quite hilarious to read all the 'i can't make currency i blame anything and everything besides myself' attitude in this thread.

There are countless of games out there that rely on third parties to make things easier etc. You should be grateful to whoever put up poe.trade instead of being such whiners to GGG. Nobody is forcing you to do anything in PoE.
