Issues with CI and Suggestions for Improvement
^From my point of view
The best way to give feedback and to actually have that feedback be relevant to the dev's and sub-sequentially be considered for implementation is to consider what THEY are aiming for and then go from there. That's why i made a point in my post to note that the dev's seem to be pushing CI into an "attack and retreat" functionality. Simply put, they seem to be keen to reverting CI to it's old functionality and implementation. So i would pose that the best suggestions keep this objective in mind. your suggestions seem to wanna push CI melee back to "endurance inside battle" state instead of "attack and retreat" state. There is no harm in these suggestions, obviously, but personally i think they are far less likely to be actually considered for implementation then.(since the out-come diverges from the intent or design goal of GGG) That's why i oriented my "ci/hybrid buff" around the "attack and retreat" play-style, further enhancing the potency of that play-style instead of nullifying it entirely.(by creating a potential buff that creates endurance in battle) This way i can dream/hope it gets implemented some day since it seems to align with the design GGG is aiming for :D. I would suggest you review your initial suggestions in light of a "attack and retreat" CI design and see if they actually align with that out-come. Maybe alter them a bit to align better with that out-come. You seem to desire the old CI face-tank ability back, which to put bluntly seems highly unlikely to actually happen in any way, shape or form. Granted i consider CI needs "something", but i don't think a reversion to it's old state is that "something". There should be vastly superior and more elegant solutions to this issue while still keeping in line with GGG's desired out-come? Cheers for the thread though, i do believe this topic needs some highlighting since it affected a lot of players across the board.
