Taming bonus is additive with other sources of increased modifiers (such as the passive tree).
You are looking at 1200~% increased damage, not more. So if you allready have 400% increased damage from passives and gear you are gonna end up with: (400+1200) / 400 = 4x more damage, not 12x more. your dps with emberwake=(dps without emberwake)*(1+0.16*(increased(fire or burning damage)))
Bono all math u need. (considering dps without emberwake does not crit nor ignite)* (and damage with emberwake always ignites)** its way simpler than u can imagine when u know how to shorten formulas. that means that emberwake works best with highest non crit fire attack/spell dps, such as incinerate, firestorm, flame totem, discharge (fire), molten strike, etc. Last edited by Andrius319 on Sep 27, 2015, 7:13:08 AM

from those * and ** u can see that emberwake has couple of downsides- with it u don't do more damage when u crit and your burning dps with emberwake must be higher than burning dps without emberwake, which concludes to that u have to ignite at least 5 times in 4 seconds to do the same damage as without emberwake.
In best case scenario having 400% increased fire and burning damage u may do up to 5x0.16=80% more damage (discarding burning and crits without emberwake) |

incin/flame totem - lmp - FC - echo - ignite - prolif
staff + chest = 2 6 links i am assuming that each ignite prolifs, causing each thing in the surrounding to have the stacks added on. thoughts? |
