OP is right though. The charge damage shouldn't be calculated at animation start but on impact, because the player can still influence the charge distance sensibly if there's not enough time to dodge.

Agreed with OP, on top of that the damage on charging mobs and leaping mobs is ridiculous in comparison to other mobs in the same area. A pack of white mobs leaping/charging you is pretty much instagib.
