[feedback] Pit map

That boss fight gave me cancer. I had no idea what was going on, full screen of monsters and it all seemed endlessly. I've Cyclone'd around for more than a minute and then finally the monster count started to go down. And when I've finally killed them all, my FPS remained in single digits until I've left the "room".

Did it once, never again.
Just did it... Will do it again once it has gotten it's proper level... which is around 80.

Balance in the last fight is completely f'ed up...
^It's only the pit fight though. All the rest of the map is pretty much in tune.

But that ranged chicken nugget stacking makes the shotgun removal redundant lol.

I don't even care about the endless waves, but make them all melee so they can't stack on you endlessly.

I have to say I skipped that map I was too scared to do it, because I had difficulty with the arena at some points the cage fights can be so hard and overwhelming, need to boost my characters a bit :)

But yeah from the difficulty I had at cruel and merciless to do the pit in Darresso's dream, this map could be placed in the later ones.
I actually ran this map a whole bunch while leveling, for the chance of dropping The Gladiator card (which I got one of).

Never had trouble with the boss area (My char is a cycloner, so he moves all the time, which really mitigates a lot of damage, combined with high APS and LGoH), but when I stood still I did notice the damage was pretty spiky.

Boem, when you get more sockets, you should totally put on some kind of CWDT spell setup with lightning skills (arc, BL, shock nova?). I would think the synergy could be pretty crazy.

Already your character is a lot like touch of God anyways; would be cool to see.

If you're curious about my duelist's stuff....

Gear (self found except axe, 2c)

Would love to see if you do try out the CWDT spells!

Cheers

^I simply equiped a vaal storm call on him currently in a 3-link since that char is still under development and the gear isn't finalized yet.

Spell echo - lightning penetration - vaal storm call

It's not high level but it wrecks shit up with the gloves so will only improve when i can fit it in a dedicated 4-link and levels up higher.

However the main point of this thread is the ranged chicken nuggets vs stationary melee coupled with endless waves.

Like i mentioned i have no issue's adapting or finding a counter strategy, but that doesn't imply the map's pit fight isn't out of line with the other 68 maps due to the shotgunning going on in there.

And yes, i am playing DA TOUCH OF GOD!

currently pushed to lvl 75 and i am at 15600 top-end lightning damage in a 5-link with life leech in it. It's going alright, but i imagine the item will not be end-game viable due to it's inherent limitations.

Still a lot of fun though!

Peace,

It has always been the case that certain map bosses are easier for certain builds. If your build hasn't yet developed the aoe dps to deal with the pit boss fight then just skip it. There are certainly some boss fights that are difficult no matter what you are running, but I don't think this is one of them. Among 68 maps, most players would probably have more trouble with the dungeon and desert boss fights tbh.
What I did is lured the boss out of the room and killed him alone. Pretty sure that s not how you supposed to do the boss and it will probably be fixed soon. But the amount of mobs is ridiculous, this fight deserves a much better spot than 68 map, should have been a 76-78. In daressos that room is doable, but pit is just overtuned
As poison arrow this map is actually pretty fun, enter boss room and run around laying down the AOE everywhere. The only thing slightly hard is that the boss's cyclone does a lot of damage. The added monsters are just constant flask refills, loot and exp.
I actually had no issue with this map bossroom but that might be due to reave/vaal reave having amazing aoe clear so I just ran around the room killing stuff as it spawned and dodging the boss
