General Discussion - State of Exile Ep. 35 Featuring Chris Wilson Today - Forum

I'd really like to know why they feel adding material that's significantly harder than the previous content is a good strategy for development. To me, it makes the game more tedious. In order to get through what ever new beastie they add, you have to trivialize the previous content. Be it act 3.x, act IV, corrupted areas, Atziri... each addition was significantly harder than the previous content. Thus to beat it, you had to play a character for which the other 99% of the game was a pointless process. Not a good plan in my mind. Can you guys get rid of Zeno, please? It´s impossible to watch these podcasts because of his edgy attitude towards anything. He´s always just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. They should raise the difficulty for the stuff that's already there so that it doesn't get trivialized and so that there's no sudden spike that punishes people for being unprepared.
