FPS drops in maps with ground effects - Anyone else experincing this?
|
I mean i think earlier i had similar issues and i never liked maps with burning or shocking ground - mostly i just rerolled them, cause they cause annoying fps stutters. For now we seem to have every second map with ground effects, and the cause awful fps stutters which are so annoying that i even want to immediately close the game =\
I tried disabling sound completely with --nosound, tried to make my videocard settings more specific for poe, i even tried to make textures and everything superlow through config file, but nothing seems to help, though my videocard and pc are just like 30-40 percent loaded at this time. I have a decent pc about 1.5 years old, it may be not "high end", but pretty decent, for example i have stable 60 fps for witcher 3 with medium settings. Any fix, or help, or smth would be very appreciated, cause i love this game but i can't actually play it with pleasure. Also wondering, am i alone with this problem? Cause i tried poe on my friends really highend PC compared to mine (he is not playing poe though) and it was pretty much the same. When u r in a 2-3 ppl party on these maps, things become even worse. Thanks! |

Exactly same issue. And my PC SHOULD run this game just fine.
i7-4770k 8gb r9 290 If anyone knows fix for this I would LOVE to know! This is so awful.. |

I think everybody has it. My i5-4670 with geforce gtx760 can't handle it too (game installed on SSD), I tried every setting, even texture_quality = 4 in config file.
But I saw some vids on youtube where people get decent fps while recording video, so seems somebody actually can run these maps okay. I'd like to know more. | |

I don't have issues with regular ground effects (shock, poison fire etc) but shrines effects cause massive FPS issues for me, I basically have to make a suicide run for the shrine otherwise i'll get killed due to FPS spikes.

I mean, is there some official fix or just advice on this? I'm ready to play on trash graphics or upgrade my PC (though i don't know to what level i need to upgrade it, as far as my friend has really strong one and issues are present there), or may be try some optimisation i haven't tried. Well, anything i could try, because i'm out of ideas what i can do there. I used search, but found nothing exact or helpful except for --nosound which didn't help me.

Same here. It makes the game totally unplayable in many maps.

Same here, usually have 30-50 fps, with grounds like desecrted/burning i have less then 15 fps over the whole map
Same happens in areas where it rains, Pier, Docks, Promenade, etc Shrines are 0 fps for 2-3 seconds causing me to die mostly everytime cause i can't run away |

" Your issue isn't at all related to this issue. Your issue is loading of models and caching them, putting your user/My Games/poe folder and the game itself on an SSD will help you. The rest of the people might see an improvement if they force shader model 4.1 in ATI tools or whatever they use. |

Fun fact - while i'm leveling and meeting locations with burning ground (through tempest) - game is absolutely smooth, but once it's a map - it's fps drop and annoying stuttering :( still waiting for some kind of advice or smth
