Noob finds Hedgemony's Era staff - Has no idea what to do with it

If you can get one alt a minute, 6 days of ten hours playtime a day will get you 6000 alts which gives you 20 exa if you can sell at 300:1. I wouldn't call it easy but it sounds like it could be feasible with nonstop boss runs.

It's never something I'll try. I value my sanity too much and even if I didn't, I doubt I'll ever have that kind of time to burn on PoE.

Pick your standard FotM build, Flame Totem right now.

Day 1: Rush the content. Hit act 4 merc in 12-13 hours. Farm Dried Lake for a bit. End the day mid-60s in level, 1-2 ex in assorted currency from levelling and farming. Buy the ex right now if you can because currency conversion is easy and the ex rate is very low (<20c).

Day 2: Farm Dried Lake some more. When you aren't getting exp anymore, go map. Keep doing chaos recipes, keep getting all those incremental little drops, get some random rare or unique that sells for a few chaos early in the league. You're making an ex every couple of hours (in mixed currency) because exchange rates are still so low. You will now have at least 5 ex in net worth, more like 10. You should also be close to level 80.

Day 3-7: Buy good gear (there should be some around by now). Now either run Atziri dozens of times and make disgusting profits from having the highly desirable Atziri uniques so early in the league, or just farm fragments in Docks all day, sell them to all the people doing the former and make 1 ex every 1-2 hours.

All you need is time (particularly on that first weekend, it's not such a big deal if you can't nolife after that) and experience with the game. The crucial thing is to get to your money making early, because it means you make 3-4 times the profit. You can't pull this plan off a week into the league, it becomes a lot slower to make money.

For perspective, I played for ~35 hours over the launch weekend, and ended that weekend with a net worth of ~10 ex. I then couldn't play for 3 days (I do have a real life, I swear!), and have played a few hours each day after that. Now I'm worth 15exish. My friend ran Atziri while I was working, and is now probably worth 40ex.

There are peole who earn waaaay more than this. I don't know exactly how they do it, and there aren't many of them. I'm just presenting the layman's approach to respectable wealth.
