These problems shouldn't have killed characters. They mostly result in being disconnected either with or without a save. Players should not have died. In some cases, deaths may have even been undone.

I keep getting "Unable to connect to patching server" when starting PoE is that a related issue?
Nothing to see here.
Will this patch come with a realm restart or happen without one? I think it will fix my issue.

Great that you guys have finally resolved the issue!

What you've described seems slightly different from what I've been experiencing (WinMTR shows 50% dropped packets at the node just before your Singapore server), but I'll give lockstep a spin this weekend and see how it goes. Fingers crossed!

b) This afternoon we found and fixed a problem that would cause users to get disconnected/freeze/crash during combat, especially in busy areas like maps. This was not common, but was the second highest stability problem in The Awakening. The fix for that should be deployed in an hour or so.


This has now been deployed. You will notice a small patch when next starting up your Path of Exile client.
