so will this build work? I know 102 is day dreaming but I can get all the life leech stuff by 80.

I Wish I could pick up more life nodes but I can't figure out a better route .
how important is additional frenzy charges?

I modified your tree slightly.
Dropped "Method of Madness", cause your build deals phys damage not chaos damage. No need to scale chaos damage.

Got some life nodes in the start area and changed pathing in the start area.
In the end this modification gave you more Life, more Damage, more Attack Range, more Attack Speed. more Evasion, some Life Regen and more Move Speed.

If you are planning to use the "Belly of the Beast" chest, consider "Profane Alchemy".
The synergy is insane.

@Frenzy:
It´s easy to generate them with "Blood Dance" boots or the "Blood Rage" gem.
They´ll boost your attack speed, therefore your life leech and the buils reliability in the end.
I´d consider them as important for your planned playstyle.

I have been holding off playing since the new patch came out because I'm slightly jaded since it took so long to make this build work. I'm still on the quest to make a duelist vaal pact dual claw build , lets hope it can still happen .

I made a new tree with the patch in mind but do not understand all of the changes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, if you have Mana problems i would recommand picking
the Blood Magic Key Stone and Mortal Conviction.
It Makes you incredible tanky and you don't have to worry about your Mana.

When you try Blood Magic, respec out of Vaal Pact, after the Patch its not in a brilliant position and you can regen life witch will make your more tanky as well.

How is your Damage? How much life do you have?

PS: If you are thinking on going Blood Magic you could use a claw that gives you flat life on hit ( such as Tresher Claw or noble claw) and if you don't use blood magic ( i asume your dual wielding) you can switch your of hand claw to a gemini or twin claw, they give you mana on hit that should reduce your mana "waste"

oh and i forgot: Witch auras are you using (other than clarity?) when you solved your mana problems i suggest using Hatred it's a huge damage boost and through your crit chance your enemies are frozen ( survivability)

What defence are you using? ( Armor or evasion or both? i ask because you only picked few notes on the tree ) Have you thought of a cast when damage taken setup or defensive auras?

i modified the tree -> droped Vaal Pact ( you can use your old one, it's a solid build)

Thanks, for response I think eventually this be a nice reference.

Armor and evasion are about equal at the moment.

I start out with frenzy grab hit three times then go into double strike which keeps the life pretty high I just have to use a couple of mana potions if combat is long.

Now why would dropped val pact? there is about zero regen nodes on this build?

I like the idea of blood magic but what happens if you use clarity with it? I honestly think clarity sucks for this and like the idea of hatred especially since it doesn't require INT to upgrade.
Do think blood magic will solve the mana problem all togther?

Yep if you decide to use BM (Blood Magic) youwill never ever again have Mana problems.
And it's true that you don't have Regen nodes, so i modified the Tree for BM if you choose to play it that way. (the %life regen notes are more than enough to conter the mana/life use and to survive combat.)

You don't need Clarity anymore, you can use Hatred and you can leech life through your claws.
I also picked up a few armor and evasion notes and the Fortify Wheel in the bottom of the duelist. it gives you a damage and armor boost.

I think your damage will be enough so I only specked out of Claw of the Pride and spend three notes to get assasination.
