So, I've never been probated (so far). I don't want to generalise (too much) but I see a lot of people here who used to take the easiest and most insulting approach now complaining about forum moderation.

Meanwhile, the forum seems more focused on game mechanics and the game. The end of the world... is not nigh.

well I think that one of the main points of new rules is to annoy constant trolls/shitposters so that they give up

you know, there are some people shitstorming this forums since open beta, or release.. These people discourage many regular and polite members from posting or reading

I really appreciate GGG´s courage with this decision, as well as the intention to solve this problem

Probated is an awesome word. :D

I haven't been probated yet but I've had a few posts removed. It doesn't really bother me much as I don't own the forum. I find that it's pretty fair for mods to moderate their forum as they please. If the gaming public finds these rules overly harsh, then they will either stop posting or migrate to reddit :)

It is funny that many people who always said "GGG is so indy, is so small and so cool with their community" now blame GGG for being courageous. For being brave enough to change something. And even now connecting with the community. It seems like GGG has only been cool for "these" people when everything was as they wished. Now, where things change for the masses (i would say), those "diehard"-fans vanish. "Lakers-Fans" i will call them ;)

Goes right back to closed beta actually.

I personally know one or two older gamers (60s-70s)that were advised by fellow community members to get out and grow up as they should be doing other things beside sitting on their fat arses playing video games and leave the feedback to players who know better.

So they did leave,I wish they didn't because they were great people and great ARPG players from very old gaming clans and communities.But the older you get,the less you feel like dealing with internet chest beating.
