Vagan and Tora are scammers: why?

The other masters are all offering straight reductions compared to vendors, except Zana, who is a seperate case. I have Haku, Eleron and Vorici always in my hideout because with them you can change your augmentations into fuses for heavy reduced rates. Catarina and Leo make a nice combo to convert chances into regrets at nice prices.

But seriously, what's wrong with Vagan and Tora?

=> Vagan: you pay him a serious 8 regrets for a worthless 10 alchs
=> Tora: she will give you just 20 chroms for your nice 48 jewellers

Basically these guys are just ripping you of. From Vagan I can understand that because we're beating his ass every day, but Tora has no excuse as we always help her while she just watches us instead of firing some arrows at the monsters around her.

I don't know why GGG has put these rates. They are there for nothing, nobody in their right mind will ever use them. It's strange GGG adds content that is completely useless, because mostly they are very serious with such things and think about everything twice. What happened here? Was this implemented the day after a late office party?

So I strongly request to make the currency "discount", which is actually a scam, much more interesting for Tora and Vagan.

Either by offering better rates:

=> Vagan: you get 20 alchs for 8 regrets (doubled)
=> Tora: you get 60 chroms for 48 jewellers (tripled)

Or give them other currencies to mess with. It would be great if we could buy exalts e.g., even at (slightly) uninteresting rates!

Not only that, the masters are the laziest exiles. How many times have you heard "Let me bend your ear" while you're battling packs of deadly mobs. They just stand there, looking at you blankly while you're fighting for your life. Then they want you to help them?

I'm convinced they took the whole "economy" thing too far and just specialized in flipping instead of fighting. Vagan and Tora are just the scammiest of the bunch.

Standard Jewelers to chromatics 3 to 1

Seriously the baseline is the standard vendor recipies masters are never going to and are never intended to give you as much as trading it to a player would/could.

The baseline is: why do they feature such "reductions" if nobody is ever going to use them?
I just don't understand the concept of creating options that nobody will ever use.

And they could easily find other rates that are interesting in one way or another without surpassing trade. By the way, trade will always adapt to these rates, except when they are too far from viable like Vagan and Tora now.

OP is right and need to be changed.

I use the other 4 actually quite a bit but never use Vegan or Tora.
Git R Dun!
I like those rates, they are much cheaper than from the girl in act 3.

Not everybody trades with other players. A 20% discount over vendor rates on currency can be very useful to solo self found players. And not long ago they had a 5 day race with no trading. They may have longer events in the future.

Hella scam, let's look at the approx value.

90-100 Alchs : 1 Ex

200-240 Chrome : 1 Ex

180 Jewellers : 1 Ex

16-20 Regrets : 1 Ex

So literally 8 Regret for 10 Alch has to be the biggest scam lol.

The base rates are awful then and need to be changed. No one bought alcs or chroms one at a time either SFL or not due to how easy it is to get alcs and chroms in game relative to jews and regrets.

The player/player trade rates are simply a reflection of that reality.

We're supposed to believe that this is the one instance where GGG made a decision based on helping solo self-found players? Sorry, but an oversight/mistake is FAR more likely.

Needs to be fixed.
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
