Why is there no bonus exp in parties?

Whether parting is viable in a game is important for every rpg game. It has nothing to do with whether this is D3 or not, if we want to prevent the aging of this game GGG has to make partying a lot more viable. I agree with OP.

How is partying not viable in POE at them moment?

I agree with those who says that partying is already EZ mode, so I can't really get my head around your statement.
The problem is that for people suffering from desync, partying gets desync even worse.

There is also the problem that occasional bad mannered players can ruin a map by abandoning a boss on purpose or waste away portal slots.

While I agree that partying makes the content easy mode, all these negative experiences I mentioned above devalues partying a lot for many of us.
There are 2 aspects to partying. On one hand, it is easier, faster, and you die less often. On the other hand, it is sometimes too fast, and you struggle to keep up in order to gain xp in your own map. Why would you invite people into your maps if they're just gonna "steal" them.

I think one thing GGG can do to help alleviate this problem is to increase the radius or range of exp sharing so that people worry less about missing out exp/loot.

Apart from that, they can't really do anything about the soloists in parties. I personally keep a blacklist of them.

OP is wanting an exp bonus in parties. None of the issues you mention would be solved by an exp bonus.

Sure, desync can be a pain in parties, let's hope that the lockstep mode will actually fix this for people. That would benefit party play more than solo play as desync is a bigger issue in parties.

Bad mannered players or just bad players can ruin party play in any online game afaik. It's really out of GGG's control to solve, and not a fault of the game.
Sorry, double post.

A fix to that could be that the creator of the party gets a share of all party exp regardless of his/hers location compared to other party members.

That would make people more willing to share their maps, but not grant exp bonus to people who solely join other peoples maps.

Making the range of shared xp larger could be very dangerous. You reach a point in dps that having an additional party member in a group doesn't really slow your kill speed much. Fast groups would just split up and clear maps at insane rates while still sharing xp.
What I am saying is that a bit of exp bonus might make partying more attractive for those who really cannot be bothered to party because of Desync. It will also put players who refuse to party because they are 'anti-social' at an advantage, encouraging team play.

Are you suggesting that these 'anti-social' players should be given extra points to encourage them to play the game in a way they apparently don't enjoy?

My main problem with partying is that any area that contains monsters near the rest of the party is generally covered with flames, minions and other skill effects, often making it impossible for me to see what I'm supposed to aim at. Is there a solution to this problem? Well, I've read suggestions for toning down the skill effects of other (allied) players, but no responses. Maybe it's only a problem for those of us who need to aim at our targets? And perhaps there aren't that many of us? Go AOE or go home?
