Isn't that ring the the most useless unique ingame? Ok, it looks nice so it can be used as a skin but apart from that.......

Ah, yet another "Troll mantle is useless" kind of post. I love those. Cookie cutters everywhere. :)

This ring is ok, very interesting idea and it actually is useful if you know how to use it.
Not BiS, not stupidly high stats.

Altho I do have to agree that wording is pretty unfortunate. I think they should simply hide that mod, so it doesn't cause confusion. Simply make that slot always white. Or remove it altogether - not like rerolling such ring is hard, or something...

yeah, it does seem pointless to have that line about the socket being white; it's not like tabula has a line saying 'all sockets are white and linked'.

actually though, it does occur to me that maybe ALL unset rings should just automatically be white, not just Malachai's. Might as well, they're meant to be useful for adding in another solo gem of your choice, why bother making people reroll the color of generic unsets in the first place (although new unique unset ring concepts could potentially be forced into one unchangeable color, like some type of unique unset where one of the properties is that it's always a red socket or something)?

Tabula Rasa having no stats listed whatsoever is part of its design (blank slate etc.). Malachai's does not share that concept, thus it has its modifiers listed in the description.
I thought Veil of the Night was the most useless unique. :?

while it may also not be the greatest choice out there. Imagine a character whos stuck in the negative resists, the helm effectively puts them at flat 0%, so in technicality in merc, the helmet gives you 60% all resist without any other gear accounted for O_o
You'd still be dead either way, so while it grants 60% allres it also doesn't really do anything to fix the issue. :P Kind of a curious necro though...?
