Does Freezing Pulse Need Accuracy Rating to perform

I am still very new to the game. Currently have a Level 41 Witch I find it weird that in Cruel Act 1 My Freezing Pulse which I added LMP and Faster Projectiles It can't seem to hit Monsters. I summoned skeles and zombies and I have this problem with damaging monsters. They seem to only get hit if a critical strike happens. I was hovering over certain monsters that I am killing and when my FP hits them their life doesn't seem to go down. This has got nothing to do with the energy shield of the monsters. I am pretty noob about this game does anybody have an explanation on this ? Regards Rampage IGN : Cool_Hamster

" Freezing Pulse is a spell, and as such does not require accuracy. It DOES have damage falloff at it's maximum range though, and as such does the most damage when monsters are closer to you. |

Spells cannot be evaded (except for a couple of skills and unique items which give you that ability).

So why does my spell doesn't damage monster when I cast it right in front of them.
And the only time they get their life down is when a critical hit happens :( I am not sure I am going to try again now though Rampage IGN : Cool_Hamster

Have you been leveling up the skill? How much damage does the tooltip say that it's supposed to do?

I dont seem to have too many problems with my freezing pulse. I also have a faster proj and lmp on it. Just remember that damage decreases the farther away you are from the mob. Also sometimes doorways or obstacles like trees will block your attack depending on certain positioning and it will look like your hitting something and your not.

I didn't level the skill i keep it at low level .
Tool tip doesn't display damage at all. Should I level the current gems and try again ? Rampage IGN : Cool_Hamster

You should absolutely level the skill. There are only a few instances when you shouldn't level a skill and you'll learn those as you get into more advanced play. Freezing Pulse will deal significantly more damage as you level it up.
If Freezing Pulse is only level 1 and you're in Cruel then it's no surprise that the skill is dealing almost no damage to the monsters. Thankfully your skill will level up very quickly and you should start noticing a difference. At your level Freezing Pulse should be about level 10. Also, the tooltip should definitely tell you that it deals "X-X COld Damage". It will also tell you what level the skill is. Forum Sheriff Last edited by tpapp157#0336 on Feb 10, 2013, 10:44:38 AM

" Its funny I scroll over the damage screen where it says how many projectiles it cast and cast speed blah blah but it doesnt have the x amount of damage shown should i post a picture of it ? Is it a bug or something I am not sure. Rampage IGN : Cool_Hamster

Make a new post on this thread, go to the top left of the page and click on the character portrait/name. Find your freezing pulse gem and click on it (or the item holding it) to link it in your post.
