They should be weighing right before the fight this weight control and dehydration is a complete joke.

Somebody being 183 cm large should be at last 80 kg rather something like 85 not 65.

Confused :S. Mayweather is 1.73 and weighs 66-67kg dehydrated, meaning around 68-69 normally. That's perfect i guess for a boxer. he is not a bodybuiler.

Anyway the fight was indeed pretty boring, and ended as expected. IMO hagging and ducking should have a penalty. Losing points or something. This has becombe completely rediculous. Mayweather was the clear winner though.

But hey, what people don't understand is that you don't have to fight to win a boxing match. Just clinch and throw a significant punch every now and then and you win.

No bodybuilders are even heavier.

Normally I would expect people being 160-170 cm in that weight class. Those are usually south east Asian and middle american people.

But there are boxers passing 170 cm with a bigger reach.
All there is in those weight classes is weight management.

In the heavier weight classes on the other hand you can see that the boxers are fully preparing for the fight. They don't care much about their weight.

Mike Tyson wasn't even 180cm and look at his body in his prime.
The other heavyweight boxers were around 190+ cm if not 200+cm

So if there should be a great boxer in welterweight his height would be like 150cm but his body would be intimidating already.

The result of having the bigger reach in lower weight classes results in many boring fights with running dodging and hugging. The chance of a technical knockout isn't that big unless you make a fatal flaw.

In the heavier weight classes it's more important to negate the impact. Because even smaller hits do damage damage resulting in a TKO over time.

Sure there are black sheep liking to hug like a bear as well and put their entire weight in the hug *klitschko cough* to drain stamina of the opponent.

Very true observation about longer reach. A bit advantage of Mayweather's. However it has to be used correct, as Mayweather does it. Manny has beaten repeatedly even taller opponent's in the past. This one was a great fight:

And here we see the difference between to larger weightclasses already 51 sec in the video such a hit in a larger weight class mean KO. or TKO.

True, but this should have been a TKO as well. Manny left Margarito permanently damaged and he had to give up boxing, after this match. He did not even try to hit much in the final rounds and was asking the referee to end it.
